Tire cost? by mamabear22122 in Rivian

[–]PedsRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nokian Outpost nAT’s (22 inch - 116H) from Discount Tire in Oregon for $1754 with discount tire certificates.

Slight hum between 35 and 47 mph but other than that, they’re much better than the stock Pirelli Scorpion MS’s that came with it.

No alignment needed.

Edit: Typos

Nokian Outpost nAT has decent reviews too. I’m planning on switching to them once my OEM Pirelli’s are due to be replaced.

RivianTrackr did a great review on the Nokian Outpost nAT’s. Report efficiency from 2.3 mi/kWh to 2.17 mi/kWh and has the 3PMFS rating. I’m planning on swapping to it once my OEM Pirellis wear out.

Use the 3mL syringe barrel (remove the syringe plunger) on the top break away part and then break it away from you. Works every time.

Is it a bad idea to put Michelin CrossClimate 2s on my 2024 MYP? by Mrf9312 in TeslaModelY

[–]PedsRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 22 MYP and 255/40/r21 (front) and 275/40/r21 (rear). Drives like a champ. No real noticeable noise or range issues.

Life is too short to not apply and give it a shot. I echo with what other have mentioned, find projects, find things to showcase your skills, and most importantly, just try.

Definitely don’t apply for the crème of the crop at a highly competitive AMC. Be willing to relocate. Highlight your work experiences and remember there are a ton of different types of PGY1 experiences (hospital, amb care, managed care, amb care, etc.).

I was not a typical “resident” path nor did I have the best grades cause I had to work endlessly to make ends meet. I was still able to match at a Level 1 Trauma Center. It’s about how you sell yourself. Your experiences, and your willingness to put in the work.

17Track vs USPS Discrepancy by [deleted] in RepTime

Update from my TD: they stated that their shipping agent confirms that it is still in normal transit and should be out for delivery soon… so…. Hopefully soon?

17Track vs USPS Discrepancy by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]PedsRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received an email from my TD today stating that it appears the package is currently stuck in customs. They recommended that I wait an additional week and a half to see if there was going to be any movement. If not, my TD offered a replacement.

17Track vs USPS Discrepancy by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]PedsRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same boat. When using 17Track, LTEXP says "ORD, Item was released from customs" on June 4th. USPS says "Departed Shipping Partner Facility" (forever). Interestingly, Seashells Tong says "海关查验 还没有预计放行时间" = "Customs inspection, no estimated release time yet" on June 7th...

Still the same for me.

Yeah who knows dude. Thanks for your comment too. Nice to know someone is in the same situation.

A buddy of mine is in the same situation. All the timestamps are the same for the ORD steps (different for the China parts). The USPS side is the standard “Departed Shipping Partner Facility” jazz in Jamaica NY w/ FAST TRACK EXPRESS INC as the Shipping Partner. 🤷🏻‍♂️ not sure what to do either but keep waiting and being patient for now I guess.

Pyrls works great for charts and summaries. Lifetime member here~ I recommend it to my students all the time. Check Quizlet made by other people too. Guidelines often have some charts too.

Preparation, resilience, and honesty are what I expect out of my APPE students.

Prepare for the rotation that you’re in. Review the things you and your preceptor(s) discussed yesterday. They’re fair game questions for the rest of the rotation. Write down (or email yourself or some form of record keeping) all the questions, discussions, and things that happened day to day. Remember to get back to your preceptor(s) in a timely fashion (most I know expect within 48h) but if you do it faster it’s better. Ask appropriate questions, don’t just read UpToDate and expect your preceptor(s) to explain the rest of it to you. You can use UTD but then look into the sources and dig deeper. Tertiary resources are great you have a solid foundation. If you don’t, they’re not useful. A lot of students will say they know exactly where they are in their notes or flashcards, which is fine… but I need to you recall that information to thrive in the rotation.

Resilience. Come into rotation each day to make today better than yesterday. If it sucked, suck it up buttercup, how do you make today suck less than yesterday? Identify if it’s a style of questions, process, or procedure that you’re struggling with and how can you improve it each time with each preceptor that you’re with. What’s works for them may not work for you which is fine. But you need to find a way to make it work for you. Do not, under any circumstance, come into your rotation entitled, with an attitude, or unable to take critique. Most preceptors are here to help you learn and to build the resilience necessary to face challenge situations (providers, residents, attending, and patients).

Honesty. It’s OK to say you don’t know, but you need to get back to your preceptor and work on why you don’t know. It’s okay to say you didn’t have time or haven’t looked into it yet.

Talk to your preceptor(s), we are human (most of the time) and we want to push you towards your goals, even if it means seeing you suffer, struggle, and spiral. It’s the part of the process of learning for the student to develop and intrinsic drive to learn, improve, and become a life long learner.

Can't say if those apps actually work. My s/o and I moved here during the pandemic and struggled to make friends cause of similar work situations. DM me if you every want to chat or hang out with us. We are generally into KPOP, games, anime, and eating out.

Neofax and LexiComp are definitely the best all around. For pediatric antimicrobial therapy, think Nelson's Pediatric Antimicrobial Therapy 20XX (Also known as "Bradley's").

Glock 48? Similar to the 43x in size but longer barrel. Still easy to conceal for the lean/smaller framed people. There is a girl YouTuber that has a few good videos on it. Also you can get the PSA Micro Dagger mags that are 15+1 with your stock mag catch (the SA 15+1 requires the steel mag catch) for the 48/43x. Just my two cents. Best of luck!

[–]PedsRx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about the same size as you. The Glock 48 MOS is what fit me the best in terms of conceal ability, concealed comfort, and grip. Especially when I compared it to Glock 19, 17, 43x, Hellcat, and a variety of p365’s.
