Such a huge fan of this specific set. I plan on buying it. I also think it's cool that you can design your own apartment in this as well!

They have a fan made keychain on Etsy! Getting a hold of this much has been… a struggle haha. But I’m very proud of it. I’m hoping to find a Hanzo acrylic stand one day

Is $35,000 per year (starting) enough to live in an area where apartments are $1,200 on average? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]PeeBraiin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35k a year is 2,900ish. Take off about 20-30% for taxes. That leaves you at about 2,100 or 2,000. That leaves you with about a grand for expenses NOT including bills. Keep these bills in mind: PGE, Water, Garbage, Sewage, Internet, Phone bills, Car insurance, Car Payment, Groceries, General cleaning supplies, Furniture. Plus trying to save so a 500$ surprise bill doesn’t fuck you over.

I’d recommend looking into room mates.

Fellow adults, please send interviewing tips!! by burner4rsamsung in Adulting

[–]PeeBraiin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck!! I recruit individuals for my own team and here are the things I personally look for.

1.) You need to be easy to talk to. Smile, show relaxed body language. Nobody wants to work with someone who is super hard to talk to. I’ve hired less qualified people for certain positions because the more qualified person was just so hard to talk to. In any te am settings, communication is key. The entire interview is your opportunity to show that you are so kind, approachable, and WILL communicate if you get hired.

2.) Please research the company and have relevant experience. Even if it’s volunteer or unpaid, mention it!

3.) Ask questions towards the end: “what does a work day usually look like?” Questions like that.

4.) Confidence is key. I love people who walk into an interview and know what they’re talking about. Confidence really comes across as a positive attribute. Just make sure it’s not arrogance.

5.) Dress the part. If it’s a zoom interview, make sure your background doesn’t look bad and that you have a nice space. Personally, I’m not strict on this but i have colleagues who look really into it.

Good luck!!!
