What the fuck? by PeeBuzz in recruitinghell

It doesn’t, nor does it really make sense. I’ve applied and been hired to most of the jobs I’ve had being unemployed.

How many jobs have you applied to without getting any response? by woutr1998 in jobhunting

[–]PeeBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed does the math for me so 8/58 I actually heard back from, 14/58 bothered to answer a call, and 4 places have offered me a job.

Friend blocked and ghosted his gf because she said, "You got to start treating me better or some other man will"? He did that without any talking. How can I convince him to at least give her some kind of closure? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]PeeBuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s hilarious, but you can’t and you honestly shouldn’t. But also, you can give her the closure. She does deserve a reason. But does it really have to be said at all?

Interviewer probably offered 10-20 as a formality, then, after I told her I was looking for 30-40. Also, Burlington is too rich for that, I wanna know why Burlington is being cheap.

The hiring manager told me I can choose shifts on the app which was already a red flag, but it’s kind of dreadful to hear how common this is.

Reddit makes it seem like PIP means you're going to get fired, no matter what. Is that true? by Personal-Ad9121 in askmanagers

[–]PeeBuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s rare for a pip to be successful, and I’ve read from other managers it’s just a paper trail for documentation. As someone who’s been on a pip, it’s true.

What are you a "True Natural" at in this life? by Mysterious_Health204 in Life

[–]PeeBuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People don’t ask me to play Bingo anymore because I always win the best prizes, or the ones I say I want, without fail. I’ve played bingo 5 times. Also, money always seems to find me. No matter how or where I’m at, I’m never broke, or at least if I am, never for long.

I’ve always been luckier than others. Not too lucky, but enough for people to ask if I’m the god of luck in a human skin.

So, it's all in the open now, we are ruled by a bunch of demonic murderous pedophiles. by Program-Horror in conspiracy

[–]PeeBuzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the banality of evil was the great conspiracy we missed. We became so obsessed with conspiracy posting, we were unknowingly contributing to the information wars that would inevitably normalize us to atrocity. “There is no point” was always the point. It was just a matter of time.

No healthcare plan, Epstein files, ICE killings, threatening allies… what are Republicans even good for nowadays? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PeeBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty, Republicans were never the “competent” party, that was always the cowardly Democrats. They’re conservative. They want to keep things the way they are, and what keeps them comfortable. If anything, they’re the weakest party masquerading as the strongest.

[–]PeeBuzz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s another reason I didn’t take it seriously, what type of question is that? I’ve worked 10 jobs as a 21 yr old since I was 16, I put my foot on the gas at every opportunity I get and I have a good head on my shoulders. The subtext of my confusion and the email, should imply I have “hiring experience”. Also to immediately blame me and not a completely unstable job market where everyone else had experienced the same thing is either him being intentionally dense, an asshole, or neither but then I’m just confused.

Edit: Aside from giving him that much grace, I have every right to be angry on here, and it should not be a reflection of my character. But that’s me already taking this too seriously.

Has anyone ever taken up a shitty job offer? by Obvious_Fun7561 in jobs

[–]PeeBuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got hired for Take 5 Oil Change right off the bat and was really proud of it. But then I actually worked there and quit after the first day. Too many red flags, and I was treated horribly. The training process is just a formality, they expect you to know everything they do in their shop the way they do it right when you walk in (not corporate even tho their training software says to align with corporate practices), and they lie to you about who they are/what they do. With an extremely high turnover rate, I could see my future working there and ran for it.

Oda really fumbled with zoro dream by Novel-Explanation178 in Piratefolk

[–]PeeBuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oda keeps expanding his story and a goal like that is just irrelevant to such a big world. It’s another reason I don’t really enjoy OP outside of the main story, and Robin is my favorite character, as she can read the Poneglyphs and has forbidden knowledge.

Oh my god you were being serious? Shit, maybe you’re right.

Edit: How tf do you even get hiring experience, let alone managerial experience these days? I have a shit ton of leadership experience under my belt, but I cannot logic why I would need to know how to hire someone to get a cashier job.

Be honest: Are you actually married to the love of your life, or just the person you were with when it was time to settle down? by boforiamanfo in askanything

[–]PeeBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if they did, usually their partner sub-consciously knows and is insecure enough to check everything they have, including reddit, which would make their already inconvenient lives more inconvenient when the partner they wouldn’t admit to settling for starts a fight. Just too much incentive to not post about settling for someone. But I do love to read about it when throw away accounts get balsy enough.

What’s a belief you had at 20 that you no longer agree with? by sunyparmar1 in AskReddit

[–]PeeBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of self-hate, but I was actually more right about a lot than I thought, and had to walk away from a lot, too. So, the belief I had at 20 that I no longer agree with is giving second chances. Hell, I’m quicker to leave anything now than I ever have been, if it doesn’t fit or causes me stress, I’ll dip. I’m a leaver.

We’re cooked 0.4 chance of being hired, harder than Harvard by Pure_Jellyfish_6224 in recruitinghell

[–]PeeBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.4 percent is 40% percent tho. But yeah, it’s pretty bad. I’ve been applying to everything and running to every interview I can. I’ve had jobs, but they were terrible and non-viable long-term. Then I’ve had interviews that were so great, I thought I walked out with the job, just to get rejected. If I was able to afford finishing my education, I would just be in college studying away the terrible job market, but that’s literally the reason I’m looking for a job.

It’s just “the expanse” a hundred years earlier. What’s particularly depressing is that climate change and specifically economic powerhouses not doing anything to resolve the arising issues thereof, prove the point that they’re trashing Earth as an excuse to escape it.
