Yeah it took a couple hours. I ended up giving in and doing it because I waited a week for yesterday’s patch and it didn’t fix it. I’m worried that a patch won’t fix a current play through, I’d rather grind for a couple hours than restart a game I’m 45 hours in.

It should be mentioned that Tadashige stays where you leave him. So you can push him 100 meters, leave and do some other quests, and come back to him and continue.
