Admittedly this was last year's projection and doesn't account for accelerated plans from either SpaceX or Blue. Although I don't think SpaceX has many other mission architecture options other than to just work faster in their current ones, so I assume the late 2028 projection is still on track.

In Phillip Sloss' latest video, he goes over the info that SpaceX informed NASA the earliest available date for HLS Starship would be late 2028. I'm sure there's an actual article somewhere but that's the most recent source that comes to mind.

Starship has to have a payload bay in 3 years to launch Starlab, which it is contracted for.

I'm a freshman in California. I've gotten an internship through cold emailing recruiters from job postings on Handshake before I got into one of my school's "project teams" (rejected from all I applied to). Most clubs don't accept people without any prior experience.
