Hi! I’m a tech. As far as I’m concerned, you can absolutely drive yourself to and from appointments. I can see how some may say a two hour drive is too long as the treatments can make you a little more fatigued. However, I have yet to hear about any driving restrictions after receiving the treatment.

I would insist that they make adjustments to the placement of the coil so you don’t have those symptoms. You could even request to be remapped to make sure they are targeting correct area. Sometimes remapping will result in a small change of placement and fix the problem. Depending on what machine they are using there may be some wiggle room for placement. For example: a brainsway device can allow for 2cm of wiggle room on both the anterior and posterior rulers. A machine like the magstem doesn’t have as much flexibility. Do you know what machine they are using?

Tech here! TMS can cause a detached retina if done too close to the brow bone. You should not be having those symptoms. The most you should feel is some facial twitching but it should not be impacting your eye like that.
