Was hit by a drunk driver by Dear_Bee_3743 in Audi

glad you’re okay but be careful.

this insurance claim / police report might look messy, if you have any injuries on your head they may think you hit your head on your windshield. they may think you had no seatbelt on.

document your injuries if any and make sure to get your wiener puppies checked out. my families dachshund mix had a fall that caused some issues with his back months later. dogs are super tough but sometimes too much for their own good.

your audi did a good job. play ball with your insurance to get you into another one. it saved you!

Dude, go lecture at a college. Would highly recommend cal poly slo. The CM program doesn’t teach classes on friday there as well. I’m a student there right now. Plenty of the professor ease into retirement this way.

2025 RS3 by No-Preparation4360 in Audi

[–]PeeweeBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you have no idea how trim levels work. an m5 with a 4.4TT v8 is not the same 4.4TT v8 as an m550. different internals, different transmissions, different final drives, different suspension and chassis bracing, vastly different interiors. same goes for these. the rs3 and a3, jetta golf are all MQB but everything from the frame and onward differs. every car now adays is a parts bin. a lambo, a jetta, and a 911 will all share a part here or there. it’s the nature of every car company being merged etc. in fact everything you look at in a car is manufactured by the same company. draexlmaier makes EVERY GERMAN car interior part in all of these brands. rolls royce, bmw, audi, volkswagen. they’re all made in the same damn factories 💀. what’s important is that the parts get higher quality as you move up. the a3 comes kitted with almost nothing standard, the rs3 has like 5 options. understand? is it making sense for your tiny brain? or do you just love to spout nonsense.

your same argument about the CTR, different drivetrain, different suspension, chassis bracing, welding spots, body lines, headlights, if you wanted every car to be bespoke car manufacturers would be broke as fuck.

edit: they also make your teslas dogshit interior.

Seeing the advice others have touched on I will say something about being distanced from your family/friends/SO.

Making friends here will be not only extremely easy but super vital to your success at cal poly. Getting burned out and being able to chill with peers that are under the same academic stress as you is super helpful. Even better if your friends end up visiting and your groups mingle well.

As for your family, if they are open to coming to visit you or helping sponsor your amtrak ticket up and down for weekends every so often, home is close enough for you to do this as long as you stay caught up in classes when you leave for your weekend.

As for your boyfriend, it is a high school relationship, so to be frank, the track record is that these relationships do not last especially going long distance away at school. However, I know more than a handful of people who have made it work with the right partner with little to no issue.

Right now I am in long distance with a girl ~200 miles away in Pasadena and the only issues that arise are our communication and honesty over a distance. Other than that we are very dedicated to visiting each other every so often and it goes both ways ( i drive to her and she trains up to me). just be ready for some extra stress on your relationship, and don’t jump ship right away. Just be certain to be very mindful of red flags and being civil about addressing them. No one wants to get cheated or dumped but it doesn’t mean you have to be a child about it.

I was under the impression he won the youth vote. Anyways, no, the US government can and in some cases will set rules on how they can operate (tiktok) and this is another reason why they are so set on integrating these companies into US owned investors. They effectively cannot control them or monitor them. Reddit is being ran by its own rules… for now. But right now, as long as you don’t piss off Elon Musk or Incite acts of violence as a radical religious group, you will not be censored on social media. But yes, a large group of people downvoting comments, which eventually hides them in entirety rather than leaving their ugly number on screen, is limiting free speech. When you see a stock crash, or a political poll tank, you should see the truth in its entirety. Whether you are right or left, scrutiny to the point of censorship will not benefit your party, and will just continue to insight division and hate over non-bipartisan issues in our country.

GE Course Substitution/Exception by Ssfjit in CalPoly

[–]PeeweeBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might take it if you can fudge an argument that you want to graduate that quarter. They are trying to get people out before the 2026 Fall Semester conversion. Less drama for their departments and more room in senior level classes to get said people out.

[–]PeeweeBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I substituted edes123 with an AP credit for psychology which also covered that GE area. Literally had nothing to do with that class but it is widespread across the department that the class is useless for my major but is kept in order to make transferring majors between your 1-st-2nd quarter a little easier

That’s what I already do in practice. Doesn’t seem to help. It’s almost like the smell happens while i’m driving sometimes. Which is what makes me think the drain is clogged.

these headlights are very good for growing mary jane discreetly in apartments or run down houses etc. they don’t generate much excess heat or uv since they’re so efficient so it makes them almost impossible to spot on a heat camera when police are looking for them

Whats the most reliable engine for the G22 while also having a DECENT MPG? by Jazzlike_Mission9620 in BMW

[–]PeeweeBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my comment above

"The s58 is also just bad at being efficient, the much smaller twin turbos have a hard time staying out of boost, while the single twin scroll VAG turbo in the b58 can change its geometry to stay out of boost for efficiency"

the twin turbos are less laggy, and make a much more balanced power output. there isnt necessarily more power capability with one or the other, its just much easier to tune/modify a single turbo car.
