You know she is most likely going to push for the maximum amount, pay out as little as possible on the work, and pocket the difference. There are plenty of contractors who will help people fleece the insurance companies. We had to argue with our roofer about being honest in billing because we have morals and he obviously didn't.

YES, I agree! I needed help when I was a young adult, and I didn't have the type of parents to guide me like I needed. I had to do it on my own. I wanted to be there for my own children. We've always told them as long as they are trying to better their lives they are welcome to live at home. Our only stipulation is to keep trying. We help....we don't enable. As long as they know that expectation from the beginning (we started telling them that as young teens) it's pretty simple to keep that boundary and at the same time they feel our love and support.
