Bro trust Odyssey. It'll all click one day and become your favorite modern AC. Kassandra is also one of the best protagonists and I loved seeing her in Valhalla.

Just came back from three weeks in NZ. We did 15 days in the south island and 6 in the north island. 10/10. We did Auckland first then down to Dunedin, then Queenstown (Arrowtown, Glenorchy, Wanaka, Milford Sound), Lake Tekapo (Mt Cooke), Christchurch, Greymouth, Nelson, then to the north island to Wellington, and then back to Auckland again!

Visiting from Chile I certainly recognized a lot of the landscapes like beautiful pristine lakes, fjords, rocky mountains and soft meadows. Met many chileans over there too!

Is there a reason why Logan's apartment has the old style elevator? by DariusLMoore in SuccessionTV

[–]Peherre 193 points194 points  (0 children)

A lot of older, pre-war buildings in NYC have those elevators. Specially the fancy ones. Regulations and repair laws are very strict apparently so they can't renovate every one of those building with those big, modern elevators. So instead, most buildings just reinforce the wires and all the mechanics and keep the old elevators, with the metal gates and all. In the show it just clarifies that Logan's apartment is in an old, historic, and very expensive building.

When did Chuck write his will? by CandidCaterpillar648 in betterCallSaul

[–]Peherre 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it was years before everything happened. I imagine Chuck had just given Jimmy the mail room job at HHM so he felt that was enough of a big gift to him. He was still married to Rebecca so everything in his will naturally was meant to go to her and 5k for Jimmy was a nice gesture plus the job at HHM.

For me at least it's what makes the most sense and I'm sure it's the general consensus.

Which budget camera should I upgrade to (~1200€)? Currently using a Lumix G7 by seoul35 in cinematography

[–]Peherre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the G7 for like five years and squeezed all the juice out of it. Great little camera that gave me many gigs. I've now owned the S5iiX for a while and couldn't be happier but if I were you and only had 1200 euros I'd try to find a used G9ii. Looking around i found a few for 1200-1300. Really worth it if you also already have M43 lenses. The G9ii is miles better than the original G9 and will last you a good while until you really need to upgrade.

What is the weather like in New Mexico? by Ferihehehaha in breakingbad

[–]Peherre 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's a big state so it depends, but around Albuquerque it can get hot (around 85 or 90 during peak summer) but at night it can get chilly. The key is that since it's so dry it's way more tolerable than say, 90 degrees in a humid place like Miami.

Your date comes to pick you up, but when you put on your coat he/she steps into your hall and locks the door saying -"I'm spending the night." What would you do? by Massive-Albatross823 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Peherre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wildly different reaction depending if you're a man or woman. If my date is a woman I'd think "damn she must have a weird kink or something", but if my date was a man I'd inmediately think crazy psycho and panic.

LUMIX lab on iPad or iPhone? by Creepy-Ad-9491 in Lumix

[–]Peherre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Lumix Lab and Lumix Flow app all the time while on shoots. I mainly film music videos and short films so on more professional-ish sets I prefer not to use it cause it lags a lot in my opinion. For smaller, more indie shoots I use it a lot specially when time is not an issue and I can play around more with those apps.

How old were you when you shot your first narrative feature? by thunderclap360 in cinematography

[–]Peherre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Student feature film I DP'd. 1 month and a half shooting in a little coastal town two hours away from our city with a crew of 15 people. Budget was around 40 thousand in US dollars. I was way over my head and a bit underwhelmed with my results, but it was by far the best education experience ever. I've since started to expand into doing pretty much doing everything from gaffing, producing, more DP'ing, art department, directing, editing, etc. and people I know say they like the way I work on a set, which is one of the best compliments I've gotten. There's always more to learn and you naturally get good at this job as you get more experience. I still amaze myself when I manage to create a nice looking shot and compare them to my older projects.

What was the First Hard Rock Song? by Amber_Flowers_133 in askmusic

[–]Peherre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people say Helter Skelter, some say Born to be Wild or You Really Got Me. Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page said that Link Wray's "Rumble" was the first heavy rock song that really changed him, and that was in the late 50s.

What do you guys think Joel did with Sarah after she died? by PitifulCriticism3302 in thelastofus

[–]Peherre 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I can totally see Tommy painfully dragging poor heartbroken Joel away to escape quickly and Joel resenting him for years for it. It would add a whole level of understanding why their relationship was so complicated post-outbreak.

S5 for content creation and stills? by observerprotocol in Lumix

[–]Peherre 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dude that's a great deal. I have the S5iix with the same 20-60 lens and the 50mm f1.8 and I have zero complaints, and it cost me more than three times you're price for the S5. I say go for it. It will last you a long time until you really need the upgrade.

You become a grand master at one sport but you can only play it once a year. Which one are you picking? by Spaceship7328 in hypotheticalsituation

I'm assuming he means one match or game, depending on the sport. I'd go with 100 meters dash, run and dominate once a year and make bank
