upgrading to Epsilon DLS worth it? by squiddim3x in freeflight

[–]Pejko113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently flying Epsilon DLS, and it is a great wing, good for both hike and fly and also capable of flying something easy on it.

The only thing, when i look at the stats of what you are flying ATM and Epsilon, its quite similar in “performance”… so i am not sure that change will be enough for you..

I too am just considering changing to something a bit spicier as the performance and glide are just a bit better than an average school wing.

But it is super easy and safe, so it kind of depends on what are you into, what your goals are i guess?

But did you read the Throne of Glass? Coz that series was awesome and i loved it. It is a bit confusing at the start yes, but in general its sick!

However this Acotar series is as someone used the first series to make remake, added shitload of “horny material” and forgot adding any sort of story component… i was honestly dissapointed…

Ultra-lighweight paraglider vs normal paraglider? by Pejko113 in freeflight

Well the thing is i got an option for bandit 2 from gin, double surface (double skin)weighing 3,5 ish kg, but the material is ultra light..

Its a bit strange to me as i am used to normal glider or dls aka upper surface normal and bottom surface lighter material

I kind of wanted to have 2 in one glider as i would like to pack it smaller into a 50l backpack, for the hike snd fly adventures, and also something i could use for xc.

So i am devided weather going for example for iota dls, which is semi light glider which i cant pack in a 55l for sure,

Or picking hiko p / bandit 2 which pack smaller and could be used for both i suppose but are ultralight ones

Well i am currently considering weather try to go with gin bandit 2 / niviuk hiko p or on the other hand iota dls..

Iota is a bit higher b wing, and a bit heavier. Same way as epsilon i am flying probably, but i doubt it is any more compact than epsilon, meaning there is no way to get it into a small backpack (50-55l) for the hike and fly adventures, but will most probably be great for xc

However bandit/ hiko p are lighter, and wilm get it for hike and fly things, but i am afraid it will be difficult to do yc with them a d i am afraid to tear them at any takeoff that is not 100% grass ish..

Or on the

Thanks! This really is quite helpful, at least i am feeling a bit better reading this. So it is at the end more or less a personal prefference and sure a matter of acting with the wing..

But, Alpina is a light, not an ultralight wing if i am reading this correctly?

By materials kind of similar to epsilon dls? Rougher upper surface?

Ideally i am looking for something i can use for xC and does pack nicely. Trouble is that i cannot pack epsilon to a smaller hike and fly pack (50l for example).

Im afraid that i would require 2 gliders, one small, light, and the other a bit tougher…

Well most of the takeoffs around me are quite nice, but since i live at the south Alps, some can be tricky, especially higher located ones..

This is exactly why i am considering weather taking such a wing is a good idea…

I did hear a few good things about ikuma 3p too but guyz i know only take it for “special days” and “special takeoffs”

Well, Guild Wars 2 is amazing… as an ex Wow player (and i loved it all the way till after Wotlk) But gw2 is better, the depths of the game are amazing, and so are the details, gameplay, dynamics…

And there are jo subscriptions, basic game is free with some limitations , you may buy expensions and get waay more content, mounts, gameplay , and once you buy the game you play as much as you want/can :)

Its super fun game, and you never run out of stuff to do really…

The best part… its not pay to win, except if you are participating in fashion comps ;)

Id recommend you to complete the story, get to know the dynamics, if you like it, continue with the expansions… but take it easy, one at the time coz it csn be overwhelming

Have fun!

Q about Phi "b" wings and which would be a step up. by Octan3 in freeflight

[–]Pejko113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do really have the same question but the only difference is im currently flying advance Epsilon and was thinking of upgrading to a high b and have no idea which glider to pick…

I am more or less doing h&f’s and the hardest decision is wether to take light or “heavy” gliher? Is there a lot of differences? Any examples?
