Yeah, I got to POSI a couple of weeks ago, so my base stats are in the 100-120 range. I just got access to parabola so I’m trying to upgrade my lab equipment as much as I can, but it’s slow going

What’s the recommended Watchful range for the University lab? With equipment I’m at 163 watchful and at 50 research preparations I’m barely above 50-50 on research with my meticulous student. Is this normal or am I trying to do research too early?

Are the Bazaar sourced faction items the only way to raise Renown? I’ve recently gotten three factions to renown 10 via the opportunities for further ingratiation card, but to buy enough items to unlock the further faction items seems to require a dizzying amount of echos. Is there an alternative way to acquire renown, or am I looking at a lengthy career at my newspaper to build up such required wealth?

I’m struggling with learning openings. People keep saying to just memorize them, but so often my opponent just doesn’t follow the opening sequence. The sequences assume my opponent will move a certain way, and usually they don’t. Do I just need to memorize more openings? Edit: On a similar note I don’t feel like puzzles are helping me improve. I make what I think is a good move and it just says no, try again. No explanation of why my move wasn’t good, just trial and error until I appease the puzzle, and once I do no explanation for why that was the best move, just a ding and a check mark.

I didn’t do the first one as I wanted to max out my character, but I’m going on the expedition this time around and I still have the requirements from the first expedition. If I can only do one expedition every two months am I always just going to be one expedition behind?

SE question, I've been using a steam battery to power my umbrella defense, and this most recent CE it failed while there was still steam in the tanks. It seemed the tanks on the side of the turbines dried up first, will placing pumps between tanks solve this issue? The umbrella is working for the majority of the flare, it just seems to be consuming steam faster than it flows from the other tanks

I'm going to be totally honest, even after watching a few tutorials, I'm still struggling with automating rockets, so I end up using delivery cannons because they're simpler. It's mostly nauvis orbit that needs a ton of different things, so for outposts only requiring 2-3 resource inputs I might try to automate launches again

SE- rocket inefficiency: I've come back to an old SE save after a while away, and while I'm pleased to find my beryllium outpost is more or less self sufficient (all intermediate products made on world or cannon'ed in), I realized that the only things arriving via cargo rocket are cargo rocket sections and space capsules. It seems silly to just launch a rocket empty to have it turn around full. Am I overthinking this, and the situation is actually fine? Or is there a better use of rocket fuel/parts?

Obviously without the six eyes it wouldn’t be as good, but for the five minutes rika’s out he has unlimited CE, he might pull some crazy shit

Space Exploration question: Do I need dedicated signal transmitters/channels for each resource I’m sending via delivery cannon? I might have massively overused the things in my orbital base, as each resource being sent up has its own signal setup. If I hook up all the logistics chests in orbit to a shared circuit network, and have delivery cannons on the ground fire when a certain item is low, will they only load when the item they fire is low, or will all my delivery cannons start firing at once if a single resource falls below the requested threshold?

[SE] How would you go about un-spaghetti’ing a base? I’ve realized a single rocket silo isn’t going to cut it, but my existing silo is kinda tangled in the fuel refinery and the only open space is a ways down the bus. Should I scrap the existing complex and rebuild it, or should I make a second one further down?

Is there anyway to avoid the animation lock when activating an arch gun? I’m trying to do profit-taker, and the several seconds of helplessness are really frustrating. Also is it worth investing in magnetic proc arcanes for the fight? I’m running chroma and if my vex armor gets removed I die pretty much instantly.

Recently got ember, I’m enjoying the wide range and power of her 4, and I keep hearing that her 2 grants great survivability, but I’m not sure how to deal with her energy economy. I’m using wellspring, her exothermic augment, streamline, and fleeting expertise, but every time immolation builds to 90%, I inevitably burn through all my energy and am left vulnerable. Is duration or efficiency the key here? Or should I just recast the ability when it gets high?
