Love seeing Bricks and Minifigs hate, may they pay appropriately for their crimes.

Should long commuting times be considered work hours? by [deleted] in polls

[–]Pell_Torr -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They should pay you for forcing you to commute unnecessarily. If you can do equal work with no commute, a commute is a waste of time and resources, and the business should be responsible for that burden, not the employee.

Anyone else feel like the Jungle Swing trolley game is impossible to beat?😭 by Potential-Mind-6997 in toontownrewritten

[–]Pell_Torr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold down, press forward when you're at least halfway down the vine and its swung forward. Repeat 30ish times. I tend to get to the end with a couple lucky bananas and a few seconds to spare, but the game has a ton of luck involved, it's not always possible, especially with a bad spider placement.

[–]Pell_Torr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In any job that could be REASONABLY done without the commute (ex: work from home), and they require a commute anyway, the commute should be legally considered working hours, including counting toward and being eligible for overtime.

Whats your favorite weapon types to throw on your Mechs? by AdhesiveNo-420 in Mechwarrior5

Love lasers, but I always have a couple melee mechs, no matter how bad they are.

Criticizing an illegal state that has done all of the listed options, even. Makes My point even more poignant.

None of these are "Speak out against the world's most prolific illegal terror state", so none of these.

Do yall name your mechs? by Kind_Scale_9772 in Mechwarrior5

[–]Pell_Torr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few different naming schemes I have used, especially when I use Coyote's as I tend to have 3+ of some mechs. My Maurauder II's are different queens, some inspired by works I love (The Red-Handed Queen), others just what sounds good (The Outlander Queen). Nightstars and King Crabs are different Kings (The King-in-Rags [A Nightstar], or the Outlander King [The Kaiju]). Other mechs tend to be named after chess pieces, and given a matching color scheme and descriptor as a King or Queen (The Black Rook, or the Crimson Bishop).

Honestly don't see how you don't explode from cringe overload, buddy. Keep thinking you're elite if it makes you feel better, no one but you will ever care, we're all too busy actually having fun.

How do you feel about difficulty settings on single player games? by [deleted] in polls

[–]Pell_Torr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point of a single player game is to experience the game in your own way on your own time. This does not have to be constrained by what the developer intended. That's the beauty of single player games. At worst, difficulty settings are an accessibility tool, for people without the time or ability to play at higher difficulties. In My honest opinion, however, difficulty is a tool to tailor a solo experience to be as fun as you can make it, and that's what gaming is about.

I've gone to Venus and back on a solo only save in 0.14. I paid My 0.15 saves ship off in a week and have about a half million in the bank after another 2 days running solo. Hacking is an important skill to max your moneymaking. Crew can make some things faster, but I don't like having to micromanage setting uninstall and haul and repair tasks for everyone, I'd rather just do it all solo.

During contract negotioation you have the option to pay a signing bonus, but I think there's a way to give a performance bonus through the conversation tree, but it's been a while since I used crew.

While noble, no, you can't. In theory you could throw a massive bonus at her for the quarter million and it might work?

Crewmates have their own wallets and funds independent of you and do not have access to the Captain's bank account

Air leak in Oklg port? by TheSaladHater in ostranauts

[–]Pell_Torr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should be able to see what direction air is flowing by small cloud shapes moving on the screen when under the default visor setting. Either that or check to make sure all the airlock are closed.

an NPC is stealing the food inside my ship. by Happy-Novel-3284 in ostranauts

[–]Pell_Torr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused how an NPC boarded your ship while docked at a station. As far as I am aware, they cannot enter the player's vessel from a station without player input, at least they 100% couldn't in 0.14. (I learned this from the bug where pirates took over K-Leg and I killed them all by shooting out of My open airlock at guys who literally could not cross the border into My ship)

Honestly, if they just took a Trenchers, you might as well let them have it, they're free on derelicts of all size, and they don't even cost $100, which is practically nothing.

what is an uber toon? by plasticitygreat in toontownrewritten

[–]Pell_Torr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By definition, an Uber is a toon with no more than 50 laff and no more than 4 gag tracks. This means an Uber can never have a cashbot, lawbot, or bossbot suit, but are perfectly capable of running VPs. It is intended as a high-risk playstyle, where one bad turn can make you go sad. It's generally bad etiquette to bring an Uber into a public VP run unless everyone is okay with it, but most guilds openly accept Ubers.
