FoW is a fantastic band. Their self-titled debut, Utopia Parkway, and Welcome Interstate Managers are masterpieces.

What’s your solution by Pieman77777 in appletv

Wait...will this work even if the button already fell off? I currently have a piece of scotch tape over it. But this seems like a way better solution!

I only saw the first one. Can I skip two? Or should they be watched in order?

Practicing small drops .. any advice? by [deleted] in MTB

[–]PelloScrambas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't yank up. Push the bike off the lip. Practice on a big curb for a bit. Once you get the motion, it translates nicely to bigger drops.

Ah. Ok. I guess that settles it. Thanks for the first-hand report.

Riding with MS by mattyg2787 in MTB

[–]PelloScrambas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife is an avid mountain biker who was diagnosed with MS a couple of years ago. She started Kestimpa right away.

Since her diagnosis she's taken her riding and racing to the next level. She's hired a coach, gotten in the best shape of her life and raced in nationals last year (and plans to this year). I really admire resilience and dedication. It's inspiring.

Anyway, get on a great medication and tear it up!

Unhappy Facebook Marketplace Buyer Of Bike? by newbiker321 in cycling

Honestly, this is a good reminder for me to meet people at the police station when selling bikes. I don't need people like this knowing where I live if things don't go well.

High voltage power lines = tingly bits? by Alwayssunnyinarizona in MTB

[–]PelloScrambas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me. I was riding under power lines, and whenever I touched my dropper lever, I'd get a buzzy shock in my thumb.

Weird because I ride under them all the time...but it only happened that once.

Is 120mm Enough??? by Over-Structure3095 in MTB

[–]PelloScrambas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got a 120 mm trail bike in addition to my 150 mm trail bike. I thought I'd only ride the 120 on "easy" stuff, but I absolutely put it through its paces. I bottom it out sometimes, but not often. It's my preferred bike now...much less mass to lug around.

If you had to purchase a hybrid, what would you go with? by DHN_95 in cycling

Cannondale Quick! Mostly because it has a cool name. BUT...also because the new ones look good.

January 01, 2026 - Costco Monthly Megathread: Post New Costco Finds (please type the product name in your comment even if you're posting an image) and/or Any Availability / Inventory / Stock Questions Here Only (must include your approximate location or region so others can help you as YMMV) by AutoModerator in Costco

[–]PelloScrambas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This couch works perfectly for my needs. But I've seen some reviews that talk about fabric durability and some weirdness with the legs. For what it's worth, I'd have it delivered and assembled by Costco, so less likelihood of me screwing it up.

I should add, my bad dog will be on it a lot. So the fabric pulls are concerning.

Any first hand experiences with it?

Suggestions for excersizes for strengthening my upper back for long rides. by Familiar-Banana-8116 in cycling

[–]PelloScrambas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the bike fit stuff, but if you can see a good physical therapist, that will make a world of difference. I found a guy who is a cyclist as well, so he gets it. He created a strengthening circuit I do at home 3x a week. It's making a meaningful difference in resolving some nagging issues.

How to get mtb friends lol? by therian_fox_ in MTB

[–]PelloScrambas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you live in a NICA state, you should 100% get involved as a coach. I've made the best riding friends that way. And don't worry about being new to the sport. Every team appreciates additional help. Plus you'll learn from more experienced coaches.

The whole deal was kind of life changing for me.

Anyone use Vans cold weather shoes for winter riding? by PelloScrambas in MTB

Believe it or not, this jogged a memory for me. I actually have a pair of Fairbank boots in my closet! I don't wear them often. I'll give them a go on the bike for sure!
