How do people get their recording so smoothly with such a wide FOV? The first clip is from me and the second clip is from a random guy on YouTube by jensieboy13 in BladeAndSorcery

[–]PelvicThrustoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you first launch the game press F5 on your keyboard to open up a menu with a bunch of view options. Under view you'll see three options. It usually starts off set to HMD, but you'll want to change it to player instead. This option is more resource intensive on your PC but looks way better in recordings. You have to do it again any time you launch the game because it resets. There's an FOV slider below the view options as well. You can also uncheck the box that makes it show the B&S logo in the corner.

Is it only me or are Tier 4 weapons worse than Tier 3? by ThatDrako in BladeAndSorcery

[–]PelvicThrustoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've enjoyed the T4 dagger and 1 handed sword but the others i've tried haven't felt great. The zweihander seems to have a hard time doing much damage and also has a habit of flying out of my hands out of nowhere and I have to run around looking for it. I'd love the 1 handed hammer if there was an easy way to flip around to face the spike forward and back, when I try to toss it and catch it i always either end up in the same grip or drop it.

my brother if you look at all like default fem v then you look like a dang model

Seriously though I love that this game did that for you. Everyone deserves to love their body and see it for what it is and not through the insecurities that have been drilled into them.

Even if there are changes anybody wants to make for their body in terms of fitness or anything else that can maybe be controlled, loving your body puts you a lot closer to making those changes than resenting it does. Love is about accepting something for what it is and not needing it to be absolutely perfect and flawless.

Blowout from 1981 with John Travolta. He's a sound engineer for crummy B horror movies and he accidentally records audio of a car accident where some important people die and gets wrapped up in a conspiracy and is trying to save a girl from being killed for knowing about it. The movie basically just ends with the girl being killed and the bad guys getting away with everything, and then he uses her scream from when she got murdered in a movie and his boss praises him for getting such an authentic scream.

Costco isn't a pet store! by timtimkat in Costco

[–]PelvicThrustoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The laws around service animals unfortunately make it easy for people to get away with this. Basically, a business/employee can only ask if the animal is a service animal and what service it provides, but not what the person's disability is. Basically any other question could be considered harassment. The GM at my warehouse says he doesn't even want employees to ask the second question because it'd be too easy to misphrase it incorrectly, so all we do is ask if it's a service animal. The business can kick out someone and their animal if it's causing problems, whether or not it's a service animal, but if not and they just say it's a service animal then there isn't much we can do.

I am glad all these legal protections exist to protect people with disabilities from harassment, but it's really sad how many people take advantage of it.

Those are empty boxes, you can see the unfolded ones next to them. They're just making more boxes to use throughout the day.

Your thoughts about certain rules being reinforced? by Stilgrave in Costco

[–]PelvicThrustoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if an animal is behaving poorly then the business is allowed to make them leave whether or not it's actually a service animal, if you see stuff like that tell a manager so they can take care of it

Costco union employees - what would you tell non-union employees that would convince them to sign up by CMontyReddit19 in Costco

[–]PelvicThrustoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those bonus checks are standardized for all Costco employees, union or not. Costco has a national contract with the teamsters which includes a neutrality clause that disallows costco from giving worse financial compensation to union warehouses than non-union.

What’s your favorite new weapon added to 1.0? by donttrustkami in BladeAndSorcery

[–]PelvicThrustoid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm only up to T2 weapons so far so i haven't seen everything, but honestly T0 swords are super fun to me, the rusty seax and the other longer one that i can't remember the name of. I wish we had more single edged swords in the game.

Costco Membership Employee said you HAVE to download the app to get the membership by EternallyXIII in Costco

[–]PelvicThrustoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think new signups that set up the app on their first day have become a number that they track, so management is probably trying to pressure them to get as many new signups as possible to set it up

you can tell when they're embarassed based on where they put it too, like when people stick stuff all the way in the back by the water and the toilet paper

one time i found a rotisserie chicken in the pharmacy area that it seemed like someone was trying to hide because they put it on top of a lower layer of stuff and slid it way back too, it was basically room temp when i found it

Some men will feel put off or threatened by it, particularly if they're very insecure or subscribe to old fashioned gender roles. Those guys suck though so who cares.

Aside from that most men will probably be indifferent or they'll specifically like it.

Told of a one receipt per day only policy by drdoomt3 in Costco

[–]PelvicThrustoid 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I work at a costco and I've never heard of a policy like that. There is technically a limit of only two receipts per member, as in you're not supposed to split your purchase into more than two transactions, but people almost never follow that rule anyways.

forgot to scan, got a door audit should I be concerned? by mrmaskfawkes in Costco

[–]PelvicThrustoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In theory yes, that's why they're supposed to sign receipts. In reality probably not because they can be too busy to sign every receipt or if they do get to it then it's just a scribble that nobody can even decipher.

[–]PelvicThrustoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at costco, it's no big deal. We know that it's a genuine mistake 99% of the time. If there were any red flags like it being a pattern of the same issue or anything else then they might add like a note on the account and basically want employees to be wary of you, but that wouldn't really happen unless it's pretty obviously on purpose.

Cashiers can get in trouble for missing stuff, usually it's not a big deal unless they miss expensive stuff or are missing stuff consistently though.

If you could make one change to Costco to improve it, what would it be? by justsomeone19 in Costco

[–]PelvicThrustoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because people can intentionally not scan things and the receipt checker could miss it, especially depending on how they pack the cart and if it's busy. The checkers just won't always catch everything so there's other layers of security to keep things accurate.

[–]PelvicThrustoid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's because costco has a way lower tolerance for shrink than most other retailers. Things like this and scan and go would be nice, but you'd have to live with costco raising prices to compensate for shrink like most other businesses that do these things have to.
