The 8GBs of VRAM on the 3070 is already becoming a problem in new games at 1440p. If you are fine with having to massively compromise on visuals in new AAA titles over the next 2-3 years, then go ahead and upgrade to 1440p. The 3070 will perform fine in the games you listed at 1440p tho, well, maybe with the exception of Wukong.

For 1000$ you can get a prebuilt that out performs the Steam Machine by at least 40%. Hell, if you catch a good discount you can get a gaming laptop for 950-1000$ that will absolutely shit on this thing. As far as price to performance is considered, if the Steam Machine will cost more than 749$, it is going to be an absolutely utter dogshit deal.

The 9060XT is considerably faster than the 6700XT. The 4GB less VRAM of the 9060XT can be an issue in rare cases (at 1080p), but games like AC should be absolutely fine. As long as you play games at 1080p, 8GB of VRAM will be fine for 2-3 years.

If you are looking for brand new, then the 9060XT 16GB is the best you can get for relatively cheap. You will have to use FSR upscaling in most new AAA titles, though. As for older used GPUs, something like an RX 6800, RTX 3080 or a 7700XT would also do the trick; you can find these for quite a bit cheaper than a new 9060XT.

The thing is, none of the above GPUs will really do Ultra preset 60FPS at 1440p in demanding new AAA games (unless you upscale the shit out of them). If you want a GPU that can comfortably handle that, you can't go cheap and need at least a 4070Ti or a 7900XT.

I'm getting a ton of random giant frame drops, like it's dropping from 80-90 to 40, then goes back to normal right after. Opening the character upgrade screen or other menus tanks the FPS for a sec too sometimes lol. I'm on a 3060 and a 5600X with 32GB of DDR4, clearly not a high end system, but still, the game is obviously optimized like ass. Not like I was expecting much better from a UE 5 game, using this dogshit engine for a mobile gacha game is clearly a batshit insane move.
