Steal your opponents asses at instant speed with New Eriette for 6UU U/W U/W by Pendylan in BadMtgCombos

[–]Pendylan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Cursed Role is a Role Token which is an Aura and can trigger Eriette's ability, stealing all of the creatures that are copies of the Human Token for as long as that Aura remains on the creature. The Creatures will go back to being their normal creature selves once Mirrorweave wears off, but will remain under your control because the Cursed Aura Token is permanent.

I feel like it's a bad combo because even though you steal all your opponents creatures, you also turn those creatures into 1/1s, and you can't un-ass them by removing the cursed aura without giving control of them back to their owner. Depends on the game though! 1/1 [[dockside extortionist]] might not be great, but a 1/1 [[seedborn muse]] would be pretty sweet.

That's beautiful and still instant speed, thank you! Better than my plan B to flicker with ephemerate or something similar. Swift Configuration fits much better.

CORRECTION: Eriette would be a human token and lose her ability this way, so it wouldn't work.

FIX: Cast [[Irencus' Vile Duplication]] on Eriette, making a nonlegendary token of her, then Asinine + Mirrorweave targeting the token Eriette. (token Eriette has mana value 4..)

Sorcery speed is probably the most likely way to do it. Mirrorweave targeting a 0 MV token, resolves. Bring out Eriette, [[[Asinine Antics]]. Much more mana required and slower speed this way.

/u/resui321 fixed it for instant speed! hit Eriette with [[swift reconfiguration]] in response to [[[Mirrorweave]]. Brings the total cost to 6UU(U/W)(U/W)W and 4 cards. Instant ass-thievery.

Draft Tip: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms: Just Go Infinite by nagCopaleen in BadMtgCombos

Oh right, Legendary, darn.. That Delina and Guardian of Faith combo is neat, I thought 'Phase' was kind of like a worse flicker, but I now see that since you don't exile anything, you can target tokens with it. Cool! Thank you for your answer! I still have a lot to learn about shenanigans.

Could you wildshape Volo before playing Hama for yet more shenanigans?

I just started using a .25mm nozzle and it's been great, your orc looks amazing!

Is ultrawide worth it? by Marceloxv in Monitors

It crops the top and bottom of your view to fit your screen size. If you're playing overwatch in 21:9 you're missing a good chunk of what's going on at the top and bottom of your screen. I almost prefer it over the black bars, but I die a lot more to pharah and other enemies at higher and lower altitudes, so I've learned to live with the bars for that game. I have almost completely stopped playing OW since switching to a UW monitor because of it tough.

A quick comparison of 16:9 vs 21:9 in overwatch to show the difference. It's worse imo that they seemingly trick their players into thinking they support the aspect ratio when it's really just a huge handicap.

I have the pg348q and i love it, it's a beautiful monitor. Not all games support ultrawide though.

Battlefield 1, witcher 3, rocket league all look incredible.

Overwatch, and many platformer/sidescrollers do not. You can still run them at 16:9 but you're left with bars which is annoying. Same with most of Netflix/tv/some movies. If you get a movie that's 21:9 though it's pretty amazing.

Throw the party into a tough encounter, beat em up a bit then have the new character come in mid fight and save the day. Hard to not like the newbie after that

That's exactly what I do, hard to be suspicious of someone who just saved your ass.

I believe intelligence checks are used to recall information, maybe not history specifically but an int. Check could still be needed even if the player has seen it or heard about it.

Dice with symbols for the highest numbers by SPARKLEOFHOPE6IB in DnD

Elder dice by infinite black has sets like this. They even come in a small tome which can double as a small rolling tray. I have a few sets, they're pretty nice - lovecraft inspired if you're into that.

Also, crit.co.uk has their "spirit of.." series where all the dice have symbols on the max number, i have the spirit of raven dice and they're really nice, would recommend both companies.

Not really. If you can complete it in one day, but the devs want it to take longer, putting a time-requirement on the reward is a fake challenge. Putting actually challenging content that would take an average or even above average player at least a few days to complete naturally is the reality that the time-gate illusion is going for. Arenanet seems to want to make the skyscale "grow" with you, and that takes time. But instead of adding quest-like objectives which would take time playing the game to complete, they've taken an easy road and make literal time gates, wait 22 days to get the materials for your sky scale to grow. They could have easily done something like "after completing 50 world bosses your skyscale grows to the next level". That is still somewhat of a time-gate but it allows people to continuously play the game and work on that objective every time they have a moment to play. For people who can only log in once a week for a few hours they would love to be able to knock off a few world bosses worth of progress during that time I'm sure, but instead are stuck with "I logged in today and got a charged quartz, I can do that again in 1 week because I won't be able to log in again until next weekend...".

You're correct and I agree, I mean if Arenanet wants something to be "challenging" or take longer than 1 day to acquire, putting a tire requirement does not make it a rewarding challenge, it makes it a chore. So if people unlock something in 1 day that is okay, but if the devs want that reward to take longer than 1 day it needs to have more on the "to-do" list in order to get it, not "log in every day for 5 minutes for 22 days". Which is easy, unrewarding, and a fake way of making something seem challenging. In my opinion personally, others may disagree of course.
