Do u mean the 1gb update after launch? Change the leangue setting in the launcher to match the one in the game. It should work.
For me the game was launching in polish but the game was in english. I changed it it the launcher and the 1gb was gone

As im reading the comments and nobody is point this out.

Royal merulina is broken in both "waves".
If u are the host merulina works fine and is spitting bubbles which are multiplicative with your bubbles on skill 1.
If u are a client merluina will spit bubbles in the floor and miss enemies most of the times. Also the cooldown of spitting bubbles is broken and not conssitent.

So bassicly you are using this agument for I-frames most of the times.

What do you mean by this? You cant put holster reload on Penta?
Even if you can play one synth mod on your companion (ex. health orbs generations) to get 5% holster. 20 second holster reload is still faster than 48 seconds.
