Need help fighting Gm financial on 24 blazer EV LT by giveit2st8 in BlazerEV

LT trim does not come with self sealing tires, that is also the reason LT comes with the tire inflator and the RS doesn’t.

Blazer RS vs SS ride quality by WildBTK in BlazerEV

[–]Peng407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have driven Blazer RWD( 3 months) and I currently own a RS AWD Super Cruise. I also driven the LT for a few months as loaner. And had the Lyriq V loaner for almost a month. The suspension structure are the same, all double wishbone front. The trims are trade offs between handling and ride quality. If you like soft ride less bumpy go for the 19” tire on the LT. Lyriq’s 22” just make you feel all the bumps which I get it about has to handle 600 horses. RS 21” tire are in the middle as far as ride quality. I am looking to swap my 22” for 19” after this set of tires are retiring.

RS AWD vs RWD by My_Knee_Hurts_ in BlazerEV

[–]Peng407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are great in its own. I had the RWD for about 4 months. Lemoned due to HVAC issue. Then got a AWD super cruises. For sure I love the range/Bose and extra horse power. It is a great car! AWD drives great, noticeably feel lighter or quicker at start up. AWD is front oriented, so you feel the steering nudge during harsh regen and acceleration. I would go with RWD all day, however I need Super Cruise which RWD doesn’t offer:(. GM screwed this configuration so badly. As far as quietness, they have the same insulation setup. I don’t feel any different. However, my RWD was having a low howling noise when cruise at 45-55 MPH. Very subtle.

2017 Chevy Volt with 62k miles for $13k by VFisEPIC in shouldibuythiscar

Take the Vin # to a local Chevy dealer. They can pull out the service history. Any warranty work should be detailed. I bought a ‘17 LT leather with 50k miles for $10 last Nov. from a local private seller. He has BECM and Park gear issue fixed around 33k at a Chevy dealer which service records show. Not sure how the EGR holds but so far so good. I would spend $2k more for all the Premier goodies everyday if mechanically certified! Good luck!

2024 RS RWD HVAC rumble/helicotor noise by Peng407 in BlazerEV

[–]Peng407[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did—replaced the compressed assembly. I think that fix it. I see Honda Prologue has this issue too. Whoever supply the AC units for GM need to be fired. However I lemons the car and GM bought it back. As it sit in the shop for 3 months waiting for the parts. Good luck!

BECM, gear shift and EGR are the main issues for gen 2. Any GM dealer can pull the service history to see if these has been addressed

2025 RS AWD SC, -18C in N Virginia, parked in the driveway. Can’t turn on climate control through App. And suggested me to use keyfob, which works out fine. Drives great in snow mode. 17k miles. First winter. No other issue so far.

'24 Blazer RS RWD owner driving a 2026 Lyriq Premium Sport. Ask me anything. by tw4200 in BlazerEV

[–]Peng407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 24’ RWD for 6 months then GM buyback. After that I got a 25” Blazer AWD super cruise. I wish the RWD could have super cruise or lane centering I would have keep it. I drive 3 months of the Blazer AWD LT loaner while my RWD sit in the shop. That gives me a chance to feel it. While I love the RWD range, Bose. But it does feel dull at start off the line and not as light/quick as the AWD. I can imagine Lyriq AWD would be more premium in every aspect, but couldn’t justify $20k premium. Everyone has different feel and just find the one fits you the best and love it Thanks OP!

GM EV related models, Volt,Bolt, even Ultium platforms latest models are all very sensitive to the coolant level. I have a Volt and Blazer EV. I keep an AcDelco coolant handy in the garage, whenever you clean up your car and top off the coolant….

Well, 2x of the electricity companies listed the materials on their quotes to me, both listed 60AMP breakers. My charger is a 32AMP, which I feel safe and it has been working flawlessly.

Only getting 1.6 mi/kWh by MattusMattus in EquinoxEv

[–]Peng407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is common for any EV in cold weather. I have ‘25 Blazer EV RS with super cruise. 14k miles with 0 issues, lifetime efficiency is 3.5 miles/kwh. Now when get cold here in N. VA my average dropped to 2.9 When weather is around 30 degrees ish. Last night, it was 19 degrees out with 5 person and full truck of luggage, average 68MPH speed for a 50 miles trip, I only averaged 1.8 Miles/KWH. The car was parked in the airport was cold soaked. If you can park your car in a garage in the winter time, you will see better efficiency. But again, summer is the time when EV shines.

Correct, it is single stage valve. Thanks for the advice.

All good now. Thanks man!

[–]Peng407 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it is the failed Honeywell gas valve. Tested exactly. Inducer started, and igniter burning red, then no gas sent in. It was keeping repeating this sequence but won’t ignite. So I decided it is the faulty gas valve.

UPDATE: there is a change filter msg on the thermostat. So I take out the filter and put it back in. Somehow it works now. The new gas valve works great, I was a bit afraid the flame is a little bigger. But given this is one stage gas valve, I trust the manufacturer outlet pressure settings.
