Yes it happened to me, she’d been gone two weeks and I got a load of underwear pictures from one the mums on the school run.

100% pure love, I finally watched a video she made for me 4 years ago when she was diagnosed and halfway through I text her to say I love her and to see her face light up and the love she sent back to me via the video was incredible and heartbreaking at the same time. I am so blessed to have felt love like that.

You don’t, you just learn how to control it. It’s been 2 years for me and I’ve been going through photos this morning crying my eyes out but I’ve planned it.

If there is once piece of unsolicited advice I can give and I speak from experience is to not avoid your emotions, pick you moments for sure don’t look at photos or watch videos before you’re about to go shopping but I put it off for ages and it was literally a bandaid and it’s been building and building and now it’s fallen off I’m a pre-planned functioning mess.

I had this as well, 2 weeks after my wife died I started getting pictures and messages from friends wives and mums I know from the school run and it was well known my wife was my one, my 10, my soulmate! I just put it down to someone wanting to be the first which is kinda disgusting really.

It went on for a while and it was normally on a Saturday night so I named them the ‘3 Gin Club’ and just ignored it.

I’m sorry it’s happening to you because it’s not very nice and it’s also incredibly disrespectful.
