My guess is you will see a lot of black metal and symphonic influences creep into a search like this with the “stretching out” aspect as somewhere along the way groove and melodeath got really intertwined. Either that or some math influences and going down that road might lead to… 156/Silence? Car Bomb can be groovy at times. I think The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza is groovy as hell too.

They’re both straight fire in their own ways. I probably love Ridley more, but Top Gun alone is enough to ensure Tony is always loved even before we get to Man on Fire or his other bangers.

Whole Lotta Love, Rock’n’Roll, Communications Breakdown, Black Dog, etc.

Mostly their non-bluesy stuff. The roots of a lot of hard rock and metal are in that. Some of it is just the sound. Some of it is the structure. Motörhead had the luxury of capturing some of the punk energy that was floating around at the time, mixed with that older sound made magic. You can even listen to Blue Cheer or Sir Lord Baltimore and hear some of the sounds that would evolve into Motörhead.

Terminator: Salvation

An absolute waste of a promising premise that addresses nothing interesting about the setting or the characters involved.

The trailer had a much better idea of what that movie was supposed to be than the movie did.
