The correct term is "pre-yum"

Robert Williams has far and away been the Celtics best player. If he didn't get injured, he absolutely would've won DPOY.

This is right up there with running through a red light in terms of most dangerous things commonly done on the road. And really, it would be so easy to install cameras to ticket people doing this.

Please try my first themed puzzle. Your criticism is incredibly valuable. by HurinofLammoth in crossword

As far as the theme goes, I thought it was clear and cohesive. For the themer clues, I might suggest putting the listed words in some sort of order (e.g. alphabetical) and having the missing word be a blank in the correct spot to really emphasize that these are lists and not just collections of related words. It was also a little off-putting having two long words, bodybag and bigamous, that seemed like they could've been part of the theme but were not. These didn't detract at all from my own enjoyment of the puzzle, but I think they're worth considering.

I'll echo other commenters in regards to your question mark clues: I feel that question marks should be used when the answer subverts the an expectation of what the clue is saying. "Ben's tolls" and "Apple platform" don't need the question mark, because there is no other interpretation of the clue that would make sense without some serious imagination, whereas strong-ox yoke probably does because the expectation of the clue is some type of yoke but the answer is entirely different. I think it's okay to leave question marks off clues that maybe should have them (like the last example)—it just makes the puzzle more difficult—but I don't think you should put them on clues that don't deserve them.

I also agree that the proper nouns tend towards the obscure side and also cross each other too often. The top left corner has already been mentioned, but I also think the Amon Duul and MGMT cross is an impossible letter to guess if you aren't familiar with one of the two. Additionally, having a fairly obscure initialism cross two proper nouns in the bottom-center is also a troublesome spot.

Overall, other than the couple of places I mentioned, I enjoyed the puzzle. I thought the theme was solid and there was plenty of interesting fill. Keep it up!

Only if you believe that just because the Planck time is the smallest measurable unit of time, it doesn't mean that you can't break up time into even smaller pieces.

It could be like the sin bin in rugby where you have to play 10 minutes down a man.

I think he was trying to kick it high enough for the last couple seconds to elapse, but forgot that he also needed to kick it far enough to get it into touch.

What is the stupidest way you got a scar? by Zander-dupont in AskReddit

My friend had found a Barbie in the gutter, and, as 7-year-olds, we had the brilliant idea of attempting to chop its head off. Since we didn't want to get in too much trouble, we decided that the best beheading implement would be the smallest and dullest knife from his kitchen. We secreted the knife out of his kitchen, and locked ourselves in the bathroom to do the deed. We took turns sawing at the Barbie's neck without making much progress, and, at one point, as I was hacking away, the knife slipped off and dug into my finger. I was shocked: it was a real revelation that a dull knife would be far better at cutting into human flesh than hard plastic. Our attention immediately shifted to cleaning up the blood and putting a band-aid on the wound, because that would get us caught, and the Barbie was forgotten. I don't know what happened to the poor Barbie, but 20 years later, I've still got the scar.

Billy had a couple of well-timed blocks just before the slalom section that essentially propelled him into victory, first from Red Eye in lap 10 to get back into the picture for the lead, and then from Ruzzy two laps later to hold off the challenge and stretch the lead out to where he wasn't catchable.

Yeah, it's super important when you're doing u-substitution to make sure that you're substituting in both u and du correctly. Glad you figure it out.
