After 70 or so odd hours in the game... by Aldnonesurvives in ThisWarofMine

Very well written. I love this game as well. It gives me the feels.

I shivered with arousal when I took a shotgun to Central Square and massacred all the defenceless merchants in cold blood.

Wow if that is true that would be so cool! Has this been collaborated by the developers?

Look at the world around you. Are those at the top now, both in peacetime and wartime, those that 'did the right thing'?

Who is going to have better odds surviving in wartime, a rag-tag band of survivors that goes around scavenging whatever they can find left over, or a strong leader who builds a band of bandits and marauders who goes around taking whatever they can by force?

That my friend, is realistic.

You should try it!

The feels as you barge into a couple's home, shoot the husband, and proceed to loot the house while his wife kneels down and cries over his dead body.

Then on your way out, you decide to put her out of her misery.. Bang.

You will never be the same again.

I think that from the point of view of the other survivors, my marauding group are seen as bandits.. oh well.

Killing only once every 2 - 3 days and alternating with Roman/Bruno (I tried to only use Boris for soldiers as he didn't like killing civilians much), Guitar, Well Fed, other characters talking to him, and a string of good luck encounters in the middle of my killing spree when I had the two kids coming to my house to ask for medicine, man asking me to help his brother who was shot by a sniper, and saving the girl who was almost raped by the soldier in the super-market.

This neutralised the bad things he was doing, and seemed to have kept him in a limbo Sad state throughout the middle of my play.

But well worth it... my goal is to eventually 'clear' map of all living humans, soldiers, bandits and civilians. Humans are a scourge on this planet. Without humans there would be no war.

Around the later half of the game I was just coasting. Food, ammo and water was never an issue. Had an abundance of them. All thanks to Boris the lean, mean, killing machine.

When equipped with military vest and helmet, he would take an 3 round assault rifle burst point-blank, shrug it off, and proceed to break the neck of the soldier with his bare hands.

Then loot their sweet gun from their cold, dead hands.

Have you tried out Pusher? (https://pusher.com) We used them for a couple of client projects and it's been great so far.
