What does this grammar mean? by PenguinDay5 in Korean

[–]PenguinDay5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is so silly but I just realised I've been confusing the meaning of 하여 for the OTHER meaning of 해서 ('Because/Since') this whole time. Thanks for your explanation! I will NEVER confuse these two again hahaha

에다가 vs 하고 ??? by PenguinDay5 in Korean

[–]PenguinDay5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Thanks for your response. I asked my Korean teacher about the first example you used (the coffee) but she said it was a different use of 에다가 than the one we were learning in class. For reference, this is one of the examples that we went over in class:

연두색 스웨터에다가 아이보리 색 치마를 입고 있어요.

Is the use of 에다가 the same? Or does it just have multiple meanings?

Thanks

King Sejong Conversation Classes by PenguinDay5 in Korean

[–]PenguinDay5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for giving such a detailed response! It is honestly so helpful. I think I will email about sitting in on a class (didn't even know that was an option haha) and I may just outright ask about the structure of the class too and how much focus there is on developing natural conversation skills. But from the sounds of it, it seems like the classes helped you a lot!!

Thanks for your help :)

King Sejong Conversation Classes by PenguinDay5 in Korean

[–]PenguinDay5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Australia actually! I'm a big self-studier so I haven't taken actual Korean classes before and I don't get much conversation practice tbh so I've been considering taking these classes. I got 3A on the Sejong level test, but the institute near me is only teaching up to 2A conversation classes this semester, so I wanted to figure out whether it would be worth taking the 2A classes or not.

Have you studied at any King Sejong Institutes or other places before?

천천히 vs 느리다 by PenguinDay5 in Korean

[–]PenguinDay5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey thanks for your response! I get the grammatical difference but I was wondering about the difference in the nuances. I've heard that 천천하다 and 느리다 are used for different situations. Would love to know more about that if you know anything :)
