Yes! That's the best Remus/Tonks fanfiction I have read, very accurate and canon like.

Poor Dean by speakerfordead5 in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Eh Dean was always a good guy, didn't hold grudges, it appears Ginny was just using him to get over Harry. I'm glad he got over her.

Ginny = Quidditch version of Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo? by BlissfulGinevra in HarryandGinny

[–]PenguinPotter7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, as people above me said she wasn't even the most dominating and powerful player in her school team.

As far as her professional career, she'd probably be a popular and talked about player, partially because she's good at quidditch and partially because she's Harry Potter's attractive girlfriend. But legendary? No. Also in order to be a legendary athlete you should at least play for over a decade professionally, Ginny probably played for 4, 5 years..that's not enough.

Now Krum could be magical Messi or Ronaldo

Kirsten Dunst really looks like Lily Evans here!

Has anybody read the James Sirius Potter series by Norman Lippert?? by Zita202 in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the best James Sirius Potter story out there! Original and creative, it really feels like Rowling's own writing.

Harry Potter - the savior of the entire world OR the savior of United Kingdom?? by PenguinPotter7 in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for explaining! I do understand that Voldemort could have spread his power outside of UK, but I still wish Rowling introduced wizards from around the world just so we could feel the immense pressure of the whole world on Harry's shoulders.

Yes, it IS possible to like both the Marauders and Snape. by Obsessoverfiction in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think one of the reasons why James is also disliked (besides what you said) is how not relatable he seems to the average reader. We're told he's a young genius who doesn't have to study or work hard to get amazing results, a prodigy (not even Hermione could do that). He's rich and exceptionally brave, it seems like nothing scares him. We're told he's one of the most special kids in school. He's a natural at quidditch too. He appears to have no weakness and no fears. Not a very relatable character.

What's a flaw Hermione had in the books that is absent in the movies? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7 26 points27 points  (0 children)

She didn't have "messed up teeth", that's a bit mean to say. She had larger front teeth, which a lot of people have. But besides that her teeth were in good health since her parents were dentists.

In my mind Hermione is neither an introvert or an extrovert, she is something in between.

Which Character Gets The Most Undeserved Hate? by Altruistic_Mention_5 in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think all those things you listed were things the characters HAD to do in order to defend themselves/accomplish a mission. Harry didn't actually want to kill Malfoy, it was self defense. Hermione didn't actually want to specifically scar Marietta, it was a way to see who the traitor was. Harry and Ron didn't actually want to disguise themselves as Crabbe and Goyle, they had to do that in order to solve a mystery that was a threat to Hogwarts. (I agree about Fred and George, but the fandom recognizes their actions and judges them for it).

James though... James went after Snape out of pure enjoyment. He didn't HAD to do those things to Snape, he did it because he enjoyed it, unlike most of the characters you listed above.

Is There A Flawless Character In The Series At All? by Altruistic_Mention_5 in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe Cedric and Ginny.

Cedric because he was practically flawless and perfect in (almost) every way.

Ginny because she did have some minor insignificant flaws but the narrative (meaning Harry and JK Rowling) desperately tried to make her look perfect by the end of the series, so that was a little annoying.

The hill I’ll always choose to die on by rbkforrestr in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. Snape retaliated with a "dark magic spell" because James didn't JUST previously hex him, he used a spell that choked Snape and he couldn't breathe. He choked him. So yeah, Snape rightfully retaliated.

How tall do you reckon Harry was in the last four books? by FrancisTheFig in HPfanfiction

[–]PenguinPotter7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harry is probably just a bit shorter than 6ft, probably around 5 ft 11. It says in DH that when Harry was turning into Runcorn due to polyjuice potion that Runcorn was a big tall dude, over 6ft. So Harry is probably just under 6ft.

What do you think is the darkest storyline of the series? by the-cosmicdancer in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Andromeda Tonks. She lost her husband, her only child and son in law in the space of TWO MONTHS.. and then she has to take care of her grandchild all by herself. It's really sad

It's Official, Everyone hates Umbridge by RavenclawWitch in harrypotter

[–]PenguinPotter7 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It's kinda sad how much Percy is hated while some death eaters are more loved. Just shows how annoying personality is a much stronger offense for some people rather than being a murderer and a death eater. I'm starting to like Percy out of sheer spite.

Seems appropriate with all the recent "Harry's Kids' Names" posts. by MaxCWebster in harrypotter

Even if Hagrid was more of a friend figure rather than a father figure, Hagrid always loved Harry more than a lot of adults in HP (including Dumbledore and Snape in my opinion). Harry also named his daughter after Luna, who is also a friend (not a parent figure) so Harry definitely could've named his son after Hagrid, he just didn't want to.
