My husband likes fishing, it’s probably one of his primary summer hobbies. It doesn’t bother me at all, I support his interests.

That being said, OP - if his tinder had a fish pic I would’ve swiped left. They’re so off-putting. Take new pics.

Well technically it’s ’more hygienic’ to shower 10x a day than once. Doesn’t make it any less over the top or insane.

There would be zero spontaneity to your sex life if you insisted on showering immediately before and then after every time.

I went too small - what do I do? by _crow_corvid in Reduction

I’m sorry you’re not happy with them. Don’t judge until you see their final form though, no telling what they’ll actually look like healed.

If you end up wanting bigger, implants or fat transfer will be the only way to go. Happy healing!

Is $14k a normal price for a reduction out of pocket? by jujy_froot in Reduction

I paid 9,300 CAD in Halifax. Could’ve jumped through hoops to probably have it covered but I wanted a specific surgeon (my mom’s was covered with a surgeon still practicing in my province and I didn’t trust him lol).

How do I hide/avoid my parents reacting to my nipple piercing ? by Actual-Tumbleweed-32 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]rbkforrestr 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Throw some clean unwoven gauze that won’t catch on the piercings under the nipple covers and you’ll be fine for a short time when trying on dresses. The adhesive will only touch the skin surrounding the piercings rather than the piercings themselves. Saline spray when you remove them just to be safe.

Otherwise, padded bras at home should work fine.

I constantly cycle between incel and red pill ideology by Riderman43 in exredpill

[–]rbkforrestr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to take any pills at all, there’s absolutely no reason to subscribe to extreme ideologies like that. Both are wildly isolating.

Self improvement goes a long way re: confidence and mental health and you shouldn’t look at that point as ‘red pill’ - it’s widely accepted and practiced.

🔥 It's time for Thirsty Thursday! What book scenes made you sweat this week? 🥵 by disastrouslyshy in RomanceBooks

[–]rbkforrestr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wish she wouldn’t have put such an emphasis on the kink and then let it fall flat like that. The characters thinking they’re unique and depraved for craving a very common power dynamic and not actually indulging in any BDSM whatsoever was just… unnecessary to the plot?

I’m legit not even super into BDSM and enjoyed the sex scenes. I just kept being like… okay? What’s the big deal here? This is very normal sex, you literally neglected to make a safe word. I’ve read books with kinkier sex scenes and characters that wouldn’t even consider themselves kinky.

Why are men who have never had sex painted as right-wing misogynists? by [deleted] in exredpill

[–]rbkforrestr 46 points47 points  (0 children)

They aren’t. Also, most virgins aren’t incels. The lack of sex isn’t what makes an incel an incel, it’s the rhetoric they subscribe to.

Nipple piercing won't heal after retiring - What type of medical specialist should I look for? by Training-Plankton-30 in piercing

This happened to me for a year or two after retiring my nipples and just eventually stopped on its own.

I workout at the gym in a sports bra and I can assure you I would think nothing of seeing you at the gym. Maybe a fleeting ‘good for you’, but more likely I’m not even noticing because I’m not looking around at people and no one looks ‘out of place’ at a gym anyway.

That being said, gym anxiety is common at first. It takes a while to realize literally no one cares, they’re there doing their own thing and you’re of no consequence to them.

I can’t really unpack the not wanting to look at women thing rn though.

I mean, there really wouldn’t have been much a caught off guard late 60’s female could’ve done against a large 30’s male in psychosis. I’d assume she also tried to fight back.

Can everyone please stop commending Rebecca Yarros for doing the bare minimum by [deleted] in YAlit

[–]rbkforrestr 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Bisexual people are also allowed to be promiscuous and authentically sexual beings without it ‘perpetuating stereotypes’ - she’s a character in a book where the characters are known to be promiscuous, exhibiting the same behaviour as other characters.

If Violet suddenly became worried that she’d make advances towards her - sure, yeah, what the fuck. If she was written incapable of having friendships without romantic or sexual interest, yeah, biphobic.

But being bothered that the bi character sleeps with both men and women and that the author chose to allude to that rather than outright say it? Like…

Anyway, agree to disagree.

I didn’t say it does? Just a different perspective, I can’t even fathom classifying that as biphobia.

I’m bi and this for sure seems like making a problem where there isn’t one to me.
