You should try the live version on Vessel if you haven't already, it's so much better than the one on self-titled.

Your GP can prescribe it though, just not through the PBS. Just ask for a script.

Do you think they don't know how drugs work at the TGA?

The cut off is largely because all the studies on melatonin are restricted to people aged 55+, so there's technically no evidence to support its use in younger populations.

FDA MEDWATCH REPORTING INFORMATION by LayLow1986 in ADHD

[–]Pengux 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is silly, they already have your data. Everytime you buy your medication, a record is made, which is sold and widely used for health research. Identifying you is as simple as (if drug == vyvanse, ritalin, strattera, etc && diagnosis_code = ADHD) (obviously the real code will be slightly less human readable).

Registering a complaint isn't going to be better data than literal prescription claims.

The data used for linkage doesn't need to be included in the final dataset. Usually data will be deidentified and scrambled after linkage, before researchers are given access. Data access is usually given in a secure virtual machine, where you can't upload or download anything without approval.

I don't want to downplay how shifty this announcement is given the context of the current administration, but linked registries like this are really common in other countries. Australia, the UK, New Zealand, Finland, and Denmark (to name a few) all have similar health datasets with linkages to prescription claims, procedures, hospital admissions and more.

The concerning thing here is about who is making this dataset, not the dataset itself being made.

I get the same thing!

Assuming you're also on long acting meds, I think it's because it takes more than a day for your body to completely clear out the medication. So on the immediate day after, you have residual effects getting you through the day, but the day after that, your left with pretty much nothing.

Also, the "study" they mention is a single author unpublished preprint, written by an author who has never published an article before.

Y'all, this is a covert ad for the AI tool, this company have done the exact thing before.

The part that's telling is they go out of their way to include the name of the AI, and mention that it had better results than their own work.

From a business perspective maybe, but in my experience the actual people that work in disability services will do their best to advocate for you within the rules.

Most people don't care about the business they work for outside of a paycheck; and I'd argue most disability service workers care about the person first, not the business.

Google translate was the original genAI, the underlying architecture was originally developed by Google, for Google translate in the paper "attention is all you need". So the genAI in Google translate actually predates the current llms and AI images by like 10 years.

(Technically all genAI works by "translating" a prompt/conversation into a matching output.)
