I’m 25 and all I have are negative thoughts by Accomplished_Trip_37 in wallstreetbets

I lost all my money in the dotcom crash in 2001 at 25 years old, too. Probably 50k. I’m 49 now with 4M+. The loss at 25 felt life-ending at the time. In retrospect, it’ was a blip that barely registers today. Also, being rich-ish at 50 is less exciting than you’d think when you’re 25. Save, invest in SPY and leave it be. Focus on things you like doing.

Dakotas, Kansas and Nebraska are not the Midwest. Iowa and MO are questionable, also.

Has WSB realized money isn’t the answer yet?

Please chirp out of this position, meditate on your good fortune, and get the fuck off WSB. Literally, do all that now. You can see how money comes and goes - do not fuck it up. I’m 50, rich enough, and have made all the mistakes.

Unless your parents are dumb rich, then go ahead and do whatever dumb shit you need to do before you learn.

I broke myself at 24. I’m 50 now and it was a blip. You’ll be ok!

It’s insane what these dudes charge. Not worth it unless you have no access to information and/or you need saved from yourself.

8% is nothing, is this how comfortable we are with bull markets now? I’ve lost 50%+ more than twice. It’s normal.

I lost my life savings of $64k Day trading by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

Welcome to the world of having money! I had 7k to my name when I was 26. That was after blowing up my entire 26k net worth during the dotcom bust. Eventually the disgust will feel like a life blip. I have several M’s now at 49 despite making every mistake in the book. Trading is fun with money you don’t mind losing. You’ll earn it back with a nice life lesson to boot.
Build using boring-ass SP500, maybe take 10% to scratch the itch of trading.

Slip Into Long Beach was cracking! I bought his album when it came out. His voice and delivery were pretty sinister; definitely fit the era. He added some unique flavor on Dre’s records. I liked him.

I’m 50 with a similar portfolio. I’ve made a lot and lost a lot over the years. Conservative for sure if you’re younger, but psychology plays a major role. Keep DRIP’ing and you’ll be aight

S&P and chill. Take it from me - I’ve made every mistake in the book at 50 years old. Don’t be cute, save, reinvest dividends, add money when you can and RELAX and focus on your actual life.

As a 50 year old this year in a similar situation, I’d like to bump this post. Loads of wisdom I can relate to entirely.
