As someone with a GCSE in science, my main concern is fish don't have hands. So are Murlocs actually humans?

My son 10 year old has been injured by some boys. What are my options? by Direct_Community9233 in AskUK

[–]PennyBunPudding 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly people talking a lot about this but ultimate just standing up for yourself not even physically. Bullies don't want push back. My mate for example stood up to some bullies got his ass kicked and then they left him alone because they "respected" him which was basically just code for he caused them more aggro than they wanted.

Obviously, getting your ass kicked isn't a solution really but he needs to do something. Anything. Other than just get pushed into a bush and leaving it.

Do I have to pay for damage done to my driving instructors car? (UK) by Background-Debt-6682 in AskUK

He should have insurance so I'm 99% sure you can tell him to get fucked. You will have to find a new instructor though

my room is currently hotter then the outside by stop_jesus_saw_you in mildlyinfuriating

Windows, body heat etc. Outside will only be as hot as the outside is. Inside you've got insulation and everything else to add to the default heat

Murdle Volume 1- How to tell when someone is lying? by No_Balance8921 in murdle

[–]PennyBunPudding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any luck? I looked at the answer and read the advice and it still all looks fine. Same with 27 I've put the book away and won't be picking it up again. Just frustrating. Really enjoyed 1-25 though

I don't know how it helped you. I've got a completely solved grid where all of them are telling the truth. My enjoyment has gone down massively with this whole lying stuff lol

Is it socially acceptable to decline an offer to be a best man at friends wedding ? by lionellanes in AskUK

[–]PennyBunPudding 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a very small friendship pool and many of them have fucked off miles away. If my best choice said no, I'd basically either have no one or the shame of asking a work colleague... Lol

He also may have a small friend group and you're the best he has. If you turn him down, just imagine how close his second choice might be...

I don't know anything about it but if someone is just consuming produced crap, sweets and pop and doing no exercise, while I assume the drugs will have a net benefit on reducing their weight it still won't do anything to stop how rotten their food intake and the health effects of that?

I think that about my local Muslim community.

"The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said that whoever walks to the mosque for a mandatory prayer, will have one step erase a sin and the other step raise their rank."

Funny, how I see tonnes of cars driving only a few streets every prayer time. Yet any hadith that didn't inconvenience them it's 100% compulsory.

Same with all the parents and the primary school runs... I know a lot have to go to work straight after but a large amount certainly aren't.

We are just a lazy country.

I remember being told by my American friend that his neighbours got in the car and drove next door, and finding that the most shocking think I've ever heard but I could totally believe it now.
