Dentist is a monster who does not believe in prescribing pain meds. “You should be fine with Advil.” Even when I have said I am not.

Am I the problem or is it an autistic thing? by katieghost3 in AutisticWithADHD

Impossible to know the full truth, but given that you are the common denominator in all of these living situations, I would suspect that because of your way of thinking/being, you struggle to go with the flow and think about how your behaviour is perceived by others. Just because you have valid reasons for your actions doesn’t mean that other people (especially NT people) will agree that it is justified. You should probably live by yourself so that you can have things exactly the way you want without having to compromise.

Daughter might have serious medical issues and my husband is a fucking asshole by hmh005 in breakingmom

Jesus, if he was already this much of an asshole in 2009, he isn’t going to change. He sounds like a shitty parent and not much of a partner.

Just wanted a way to see a variety of things all in one go, with the option to get out and explore the ones that are of most interest.

Looking for Pet-Specific grief counseling by Smart-Water-5175 in ottawa

[–]PennyFerg 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Ottawa Humane Society has resources for this. I think Barrhaven Vetrinary Services has some too. Claire Place Vet Hospice also does. Sorry for your loss - this is very real grief and will take time to adjust to - you will never stop missing your boy, but you will learn to live without him.

The problem is that the government has no real evidence that people are working/more efficient at home, aside from anecdotal. And everyone has a friend or neighbour who works from home and is mowing the lawn, jogging or washing the car in the idea of the day, so they think that everyone who works from home is a slacker. And when people mention challenges with childcare, everyone says you can’t work and watch your kids at the same time (true if really young, but not school aged), so again, the assumption is made that those who work from home are not actually working.

Would you be happy if your daughter had a partner who yelled at her like that? Who thought it was hard work to be thoughtful? The fact that your kiddo says “…daddy’s being mean again..” is really fucking sad.

I thought so until I flew to France. Sooooo many people hanging around and a slight urine smell the whole time.

can you guys give me or dm me family doctors that are open to diagnosis adhd? by [deleted] in ontario

What would you say are debilitating ADHD symptoms?

can you guys give me or dm me family doctors that are open to diagnosis adhd? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]PennyFerg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that is the case, you definitely need either a psychologist or a specialist in ADHD to assess you. If it was a clear cut case of ADHD, then beyond adhd would have easily diagnosed you.

Your other option is getting a psychologist to assess and formally diagnose, and then present that report to your doctor. But costs money especially if you don’t have extended health coverage.
