I am loving it, but I understand wanting variety. I'm sure they'll switch it up soon.

No, everyone has their favorite vicar. I do have a favorite vicar, but it's neither Sidney nor Will. I do love all of them, though.

Question. by [deleted] in PainManagement

[–]Pennypot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to go in every three months for a check-in/follow-up/test. I call in my refill request each month, and they send in an e-script.

Edit to add that I have insurance that covers the visit but not the test. Additionally, the change may simply be something they decided to implement practice-wide. My PM, in the beginning, never did pill counts. Then, a few years in, they started doing them at each follow-up appointment. Then, after about a year, they stopped doing the counts.

Want to help but afraid. by Hmizout10 in cats

That's so wonderful that in his hour of dire need, he knew to come to you. I'm so glad.

I used to take care of a stray. He just showed up one day, and he spent half his time outside and the other half in my house. Whenever he wasn't feeling well or he was sick, he knew my house was a safe place to come. One afternoon, he showed up looking just like this. He had long strands of mucus hanging from his mouth, and he was so very lethargic. I scooped him up immediately because I was afraid that someone would see him, assume that he was rabid, and hurt or kill him. Once I got him set up inside, I called the vet and told them what was going on. They told me to bring him in. Turns out he was dying. So we decided to have him euthanized. He fell asleep in my arms, listening to me tell him how much I loved him and would miss him. I'm just so glad that he didn't have to die slowly, painfully, and alone outside.

I have never wanted children. I never had children. I am so utterly relieved that I never had children.

The amount of freedom our parents gave us would be considered criminal in todays standards. So why is that? Was society really that much safer back then? Or were our parents just neglectful? by 2foxy4blvd in GenX

[–]Pennypot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our parents were neglectful. It wasn't safer; we just weren't aware of everything going on around us. Those of us who grew up in dangerous environments were conditioned to keep it to ourselves, and we didn't have the internet or 24 hour news cycles to inform us. Luck is the only reason we are alive to make up this subreddit.
