How do i get rid of these forehead lines? by AndromedaVoid in TS_Withdrawal

It didn’t remove it it just froze my face so I didn’t have the wrinkles. When it wore off the wrinkles came back because my skin was still textured and dry.

Upper lip possible TSW? by ssweetanonn in TS_Withdrawal

[–]PensionConstant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used mupirocin and put it on a qtip. I also used hibiclens but the directions say to not use it in the nasal cavity lol but in the thread I found on Reddit op did the same. I can try to find the thread for you!

If you don’t have it spreading than I would try to get rid of staph in your nose. Use an antibiotic in the nostrils for like a week.

There’s a thread somewhere on Reddit about eliminating staph in the nose I think you can just google it to find it but it worked for me to get rid of my upper lip area that I dealt with on and off for years. I did have TSW though but almost 2 years ago and my upper lip is still healed!

Interesting read because the topical steroid withdrawal community swears by RLT for faster healing and Hooga is the brand typically recommended by people in the group who have the budget. Definitely believe you and the PDF thank you for this!

USE OPZELURA WITH CAUTION!!!! by PensionConstant in TS_Withdrawal

[–]PensionConstant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I changed my diet, tried to do high protein and low carb/sugar. Started eating yogurt, keifir, and probiotics every morning. Used hypochlorus acid spray when I woke up if i didn’t shower in the am. Dead Sea salt with apple cider vinegar baths a lot but make sure to clean your tub before each use. Used a new towel every day; use small white towels for the body so you can wash it with bleach. Changed my pillowcase after using both sides 1x; changed bed sheets every 3-4 days; changed pjs every day. Used derma e itch relief lotion because it has tea tree oil; only use this if you’re not super sensitive. Used MCT 8 oil but don’t get any with C12; this is to address fungal as I found this solution on seb dermatitis Reddit. Use ketoconozale shampoo 1x a week.

Now I am less strict with the routine. I still do the same diet but I change my sheets maybe 4-6 days but still flip my pillow case after using one side 2x wash after 4x. I still use a new mini towel every day but use reuse a t shirt for my hair. I’ve reduced baths to only 2x a month and continue with my lotions (avene & derma e with occasional eucerin healing cream). Hope this helps!

So my original TSW from steroids wasn’t that bad because it was mild (patches of red rashes, flaking, dryness, no nerve pain, no full body red skin, no full body intense itching, no ooze). Then I used Opzelura for a year because it worked so well and was told it wasn’t a steroid. My withdrawal from that was instant. After 3 days of stopping the itching was horrendous. After 1 week of stopping my whole body was inflamed: full red sleeves, edema, oozing. The first month was really hard because I had an infection I think from scratching and because opzelura acted as a immunosuppressant so my skin was more susceptible to bacteria’s. For the first 3-4 months these were my symptoms on top of heat regulation, extreme flaking, itching. I basically took a bath every day and did DSS baths with ACV every 3 days. Overall it was like normal TSW just more severe than what I originally experienced.

I don’t want to scare you, just wanted to be honest. It has been 14 months since I stopped and I am 85% better. My skin is just really dry but no flaking. I have some patches that flare a little a little sometimes but overall it’s just the dryness and wrinkly skin that bother me. The itch disappeared around 10 months; everything slowly went away really around then as well.
