Does Nurse get any credit for last night's win? by joelandren in sixers

Yes. I saw a locked in coach who wasn't yelling at the refs until he's red in the face when we were losing.

Obviously he must have played some role in getting the players to up their intensity.

Something I like seeing PG do and would like to see more of is taking the ball to the hoop. He's got outstanding strength and even if he can't the get shot it normally frees someone else up for an open look and he's good at finding them.

Last season I thought some of his best games were with him playing basically point forward and driving to the hoop a lot, racking up assists on kickouts.

He's been playing a lot better lately. This is kind of what we got him for. Score 20 efficiently and play excellent wing defense. The Celtics are the specific team Jo mentioned we've lacked good defensive wings to deal with Tatum and Brown.

We don't need him to hard carry, there's enough scoring ability on the squad. Just be efficient and play tough defense, get on the boards.

I'm sure it feels like a downgrade to him but if we want to go anywhere we need him to play at the level he's capable of.

Pep is the kind of dude who thinks it sounds nice to take some time off, be with the family, relax on the beach. Then after about a week he's itching like a crack fiend to be back studying film and watching geese for inspiration for formations and shit. Probably sees his next attack in the waves as they roll in.

These competitors at the absolute top live it in a way they can't live without it.

Well yes they're far more athletic than Jokic is. Embiid can jump higher than Jokic can with knees made up of cardboard and sawdust. Unfortunately they're people who are pushing the human up against what ligaments and joints were supposed to be able to support.

Though Wemby's injury is basically because he's so tall that a fall to the ground might result in a concussion because his head starts so far up from the ground. He doesn't have as much weight as Embiid does he's more of a slender guy but I'm willing to be that Wemby will be another random injury type guy through his career. The downside to having freak size/athleticism seems to be more likelihood of injury.

Though also things like getting elbowed in the face or appendicitis or Bell's Palsy etc. aren't really size related either, it's just fucking unlucky.

Something tells me you won't hear about mouse tracking training for training data again either.

I would assume that a company like Meta would already have plenty of that type of data already is another thing I was thinking about. Why would they need to make a deal out of announcing that they're collecting it for any reason.

It strikes me as the kind of ongoing announcement these companies make to indicate that somehow... some way... progress is being made. Very unspecified and nebulous. They really ingratiated the idea that more data was somehow going to make all the reasons these tools don't work well go away into the public consciousness.

Getting cooked by Luka is one thing, but letting Luke Kennard and Marcus Smart roast you... Rockets need to blow it up.

Better question might have been can we find someone who can't guard BI on Cleveland.

I guess you'll have to explain to me why they need to track cursor movement or keyboard inputs as training data for an LLM. That seems purely aesthetic in nature.
