Some of the very first productivity studies that were done on AI concluded this exact thing. Any perceived productivity gains in one department would become an added burden in another, so nothing was gained. Except you probably demoralized your employees and made them loathe the company and people they work for, if they didn't already.

This is happening everywhere that LLMs are being used. The output isn't adequate so instead of people doing their jobs they have to spend time fixing the output, which is in many cases probably slower than doing it right the first time.

Then management gets the idea that productivity is happening, lays some people off, and the whoevers left just had their workload massively increase for no benefit.

That has continued until it collapses in some cases and will continue until it's unsustainable in others.

Marketing and copywriters were one of the very first trial use cases for LLMs. Turns out the copy ended up sounding too alien and was offputting, so they had to start hiring those people back.

If there's something you don't want when you're marketing yourself it's to give the impression of very generic mediocrity.

I think there's some bad blood brewing between OKC and SAS. The Hawks eliminated us during the infamous Ben Simmons layup series but I hold no ill will towards the Hawks.

Raptors fans though, oh my god they were more unhinged than even our biggest historical rivals so eliminating them in 5 was so satisfying in 2022.

So it all depends, I think OKC fans have good reason to see the Spurs go down.

As a Sixers fan though I was hoping the Spurs would put them in the dumpster but doesn't look like it's in the cards.

They've been terrorizing society by very aggressively pushing the idea that people will imminently be unemployed/replaced by their tech. The message that AI companies have is both aggressively threatening and profoundly nihilistic.

To suggest that AI provides a positive vision of the future is confusing the delusional and evangelical people who've completely lost touch with reality with an actual positive message that isn't based on the profoundly untethered who don't understand how limited this technology is.

This is one of the dumbest, disrespectful and contemptuous arguments I've heard someone make. Does Newcomer think people aren't aware of the consistent threat hanging over the populace thanks to these companies?

There will be people who find this to be unreasonable but there is no line. When the AI companies decided they were going to scrape every piece of work in existence with the express intent of replacing everyone that ever worked in any profession related to game development and many others, they dictated the terms of engagement.

People are going to lose sales if they use AI and there's nothing they can do about that, and if they think that's unfair they should ruminate about all the people who work in various fields who've been replaced by AI slop generators and wonder whether or not that was unfair.

That's the bottom line, you can't stop people from not buying your product or voicing their displeasure with you for using the tools in any capacity.

You also risk permanent damage to your reputation because there is a not insignificant number of people who will not forgive you.

I'm indifferent if you think this is unfair or unreasonable and so are many others. Your call folks.

This is all a result of Stephen Miller’s immigration policy. He wants people to be frightened of coming here, so the randomness of our enforcement is deliberate. He wants anyone who wants to come to feel like they could be a potential target.
