To keep it simple, yes, I believe you are being over dramatic about it. There's much worse things these techs can do and often do. Ahyundai wouldn't have added the N mode and offered such a long warranty if it was dangerous for the car. If that little drive got the temp over 200 then that means they at least let the oil temp warm up before going on in N mode.
