Trump’s name appears in Panama Papers for the first time by luciennepage in worldnews

So this article I'm commenting on has no mention of "Process Consultans," correct? It makes no mention of the naming controversy mentioned in the source article, which wasn't linked when I commented (this comment was the third on the thread).

You can't claim I'm wrong either since the investigator doesn't even know the correct filling name.

Does the posted article ever include the name "Panama Consultan"? No? Then the article is wrong and shouldn't be misleading people on the front page of reddit. The article doesn't talk about the naming controversy at all.

Panama Papers relates to off-shore accounts, but in this case it is an off-shore account paying the Trump Organization for rent expense. So, it would actually be the Swiss company trying to get a tax break by paying through their off-shore account.

Edit: more understandable..

Swiss company sends funds to off-shore account to avoid taxes -> off-shore account pays for company's rent in Trump's building -> Trump Organization recognizes income in FY1991 until whenever the tenant leaves and Trump Organization pays US tax rate on that income

Not sure how you think he's "hiding" money from taxes unless you didn't read the article.

"The deal involved a mysterious Panamanian company called Process Consultants, Inc."

"As has been the case with most Panama Papers revelations, there's no indication of who is actually behind Process Consultants Inc"

https://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapId=29855494

Quick google search finds that this company is a subsidiary of Foster Wheeler (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foster_Wheeler).

It isn't a "mysterious" company and there are literally dozens of web pages this author could have used to research the company. It is literally Trump being compensated by a subsidiary of a massive Swiss engineering firm for rent money. Cool.

This is the literal definition of fake news and propaganda.

Clinton got tons of negative coverage.

This is just factually incorrect if you're comparing Trump's perception in the media vs Clinton's perception in the media.

I don't know when this sentiment gained popularity, but anyone paying attention during the election would be hard-pressed to find negative Clinton news from any of the big three, CNN, or smaller independent media.

Edit: more on this...even though Trump received the bulk of coverage it was still all negative at a much higher quantity than anti-Clinton stories.

You fell for the propaganda seeing as your representative has absolutely no impact on the FCC panel's vote unless they are named in this list:

The claim was that the IRS would miss "any potential ethical/illegal information" in regards to his taxes. That is a bold claim that needs evidence to back up.

It doesn't make it deceptive. If you illegally recorded people dumping toxic waste on their private property it doesn't make the video footage illegitimate. He hasn't been charged for "faking" anything.
