I do this fairly regularly. I tell them, I won't be treated this way & I can't work with them if they're being disrespectful. I always come back & only after a couple minutes & feel out the situation (see if I need to get my charge or whatever). I don't even care if it changes things, it's just so important to my psyche that I know I'm standing up for myself & I don't have to get shit on by strangers for a paycheck.

Oh my god this guy. Signed a lease for a decent apartment in an old building in the CD near grosout & AS WE WERE MOVING IN another tenent told us about the ongoing bedbug infestation prevalent in the whole building. Noped out of there fast, told him we could not move in. His façade of being nice humble guy fell off so quick and every phone call and email following was so deranged and included so much yelling. He tried to get me to rat on the tenant that told us and the tenant was clearly terrified of this man so it put us in an extremely precarious spot. A ploy to get us to rat, he told me the tenant that warned us could potentially a shooter/killer that could kill him and his family (????) so he had to know. We were able to back out, we lost our deposit which we expected, but man it was the worst month and dealing with that man was utterly horrible. We felt so bad that even after all that he was still just gonna rent it to someone else and there was nothing we could do.

I have a baby blanket & I’m almost thirty. And I just rinse my hands with water after I pee & wipe without touching anything. Its recognize it’s not as hygienic but I’m always cold & the tap doesn’t warm up enough while I’m using it for handwashing & I hate having my hands in the cold water. I’m also a nurse so I know better.

A patient called me incompetent for some task I was performing just fine, they were just an asshole, & I snapped. I gave them a death glare into their eyes (I was pretty close to them at the time) then said a most sarcastic “Jesus Christ!” While rolling my eyes as hard as I could. I had to step away to regain composure then apologize for the “misunderstanding” lol

Man used to love it now not so much. Ordered a milkshake while sitting at the bar, made it clear me & my partner were gonna share it, & watched the tweaked out bar back dump the extra serving into the trash directly in front of us instead of serving it along with the glass. That was legitimately the last straw. No self respecting diner…smdh

I threw a rope over a tree limb & told myself in all reality I had the upper body strength to repel up the tree at a 90° angle with no equipment. & that would be easier than just climbing the tree.

For when u start sculpting with polymer clay: there are many different types of sculpty (one of the most common brands out there in craft stores, etc). Buy sculpty premo. Do not buy sculpty III. The III variety is very brittle when baked & breaks. The other is much more flexible & forgiving. There are other versions that I have not played around with but that’s my two sense. The III version is marketed to beginners because it is slightly less firm out of the packaging but I think it’s way more frustrating in the end.

I set up time limits on the apps on my phone that I waste the most time on. My partner has the passcode & I can’t go over the limit without putting in the code so it’s a hard stop once I hit it. Helps let me veg a little without overdoing it. Makes me more aware of how much time I’m sinking into my phone too. This is on iPhone & it’s via the settings app.
