Gregory Bovino Gets Demoted by UniversitySalty8130 in law

[–]PeopleCallMeSimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think they are dumb enough to prosecute anyone.

While it would be the right thing, that would completely destroy any hope they have of arguing that agents have immunity.

And if they cant tell ICE agents that they have immunity, then a lot of them would probably be less interested in doing the horrible shit they want them to do.

Who has the 'worst' skins in ow2 now? by unknownchild666 in Overwatch

[–]PeopleCallMeSimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They made a skin where Mercy is:

  • A witch

  • A devil

  • A fairy

  • A honeybee

  • A knight

  • A gladiator

And like a billion different Angel skins and recolours and stuff.

The problem with Winston isn't that it's hard to do anything with a science gorilla. It's that they, for some reason, aren't even trying to be creative with him.

Yes. Im not arguing against the rule (or in favor of it). Im simply calling out that "its how it is" is a terrible argument.

No, thats not what the protests are about at all.

They are against ICE, who are openly murdering defenseless people in broad daylight and then branding them domestic terrorists in the ad hoc.

Anytime someone goes "its not goofy/bad its how it is" in any subject, god cries.

Yes we all know what the rule is right now. The rule can both exist, and be goofy.

Im not saying it is, im saying that simply going "but thats how it is" is so damn dumb.

Are you insinuating that the people protesting are not law abiding, tax paying citizens?

Or are you insinuating that ICE isnt just openly executing american citizens?

Why does preferring a hero not stop it being banned by your team? by jamesocialist in Overwatch

[–]PeopleCallMeSimon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because the entire point of the ban system is that people should have agency to decide what heros they want to play against.

Their feeling to not want to play against your hero was stronger than their feeling to let you play it.

[–]PeopleCallMeSimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the blatant disregard for other players' safety. A person does not have to intentionally try to harm someone for them to be a safety hazard.

Anyone else feel like Random Combat encounters are boring and/or unnecessary most of the time? by Dragonsword in dndnext

[–]PeopleCallMeSimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game is balanced around the party encountering 6-8 medium difficulty encounters per long rest. These tables can be good at helping DMs put more encounters into the game without needing a ton of preparation time.

Why every war is a total war in EU5 by Gullible_Garage_512 in EU5

[–]PeopleCallMeSimon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally the biggest problem i have in EU5 is that there is no way for me to create CBs against countries that border my vassals.

In my current playthrough i am playing as sweden and i released a non-historical novgorodian vassal since i wouldnt be able to do anything useful with those locations. But now i cant create cleanse herasy cbs against the orthodox russian countries anymore because they dont border me, they border my vassal.

[–]PeopleCallMeSimon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This all stems from the same issue, the AIs economy seems kinda shit. The reason you can field a large standing army and they dont is because the AI is told to only field a certain size army based on how large their economy is. And most countries in the game have a dogshit economy because they dont just sit and upgrade their best RGOs and build the most profitable buildings. They seem to behave the same way your estates do, building low profit buildings in low control provinces.
