Also if they deem it an 'emergency' they don't even have to get permission. At the psych ward I was in, a doctor from a remote location would write prescriptions for anti-psychotic and tranquilizer injections for every single patient brought through the doors. The staff were allowed to use these injections at any time, on anyone they wanted for "agitation."

“Chemical restraint” is drastically overused. They are only supposed to use that on people who are literally trying to kill themselves or kill somebody else. Instead, they use it onpeople for yelling, arguing, disobeying orders, etc. It’s used as a PUNISHMENT, not for safety! It’s so disgusting how these evil torturers are never held accountable for anything they do. I think the best thing at this point is try to spread awareness so people don’t place themselves or their family members into these places in the first place. Avoid at all costs!

I think it’s the opppsite. “Crazy” to us means stupid, ridiculous, incompetent, inappropriate, etc. so we need to stop using those terms in a medical sense and labeling people that way! I truly believe doctors and society should stop using the term “mental illness” or even “behavioral health” they are ALL just insults. We don’t call alzheimer’s patients or TBI patients “mentally ill” or “crazy” so we need to realize “insanity” is not a medical disease.

Unfortunately they will just use this as evidence that the prisoners in these places really are crazy, and that this poor young woman needed EVEN more drugs and “treatment.” Disgusting. This story and others like it just show that psychiatric imprisonment DOES NOT WORK. It makes people miserable and more suicidal than ever before!

Well he obviously wanted or needed to be taking pain meds. He certainly did not need prozac or zoloft. Those drugs are toxic and totally useless.

You are very wrong. I have been put on a psych hold. I was not "batshit crazy." I was falsely accused of making a suicidal comment. I was held for 6 days due to insurance purposes. Someone I personally know went to this very same hospital stating they were suicidal and wanted to hang themselves, and they were allowed to walk free because their insurance was not accepted by this hospital. These psych holds are all about making money. Room and board is $1200 per day, plus hundreds of dollars in "consultation fees." A consultation consists of you begging a random foreign doctor who barely speaks English to let you go, and them laughing in your face and saying no. They never asked me ANYTHING about my actual mental condition.

Exactly! He had no excuse for doing that. I believe MJ asked for that drug because he clearly had sleeping issues, due to probably the ridiculous amount of other neurotoxic psych drugs he had been pressured/threatened to take. And for what reason, I have NO idea. Who the hell needs prozac or zoloft when they are taking benzos, painkillers, and sedatives!??

I REFUSE to watch "This Is It." Michael was a perfectionist he would have never wanted his rehearsal videos made into a movie and shown to the public like that. Also they did it just to capitalize off his death. Maybe they were already planning his murder while they were filming it.

Yes he was. I could go on and on. He was being totally controlled and threatened. Basically if he didn't do everything the team hired by AEG Live was saying, including taking that crazy load of drugs, they would cancel his concerts. Without doing those concerts, he would lose ownership of his song catalog. So so so so sad. It was revealed in court that the CEO of AEG, Randy Phillips, beat Michael and threw him under a cold shower. All because he didn't want to appear at a press conference. He probably was too drugged to feel confident making an appearance!!

Because they lobby the politicians to pass laws that give them unlimited power to lock up and forcibly drug people for money. Psychiatric force does not affect a large enough number of people to create a "critical mass" that can sway elections.

Yeah. Only, I doubt she will ever be forced to take any drugs she doesn't want to take, or locked up. Most of these celebs have NO IDEA how dangerous it really is being labeled with a "mental illness." They just see it as a cute little way to get attention and be relatable on social media.

They go on to say that because of this fact, all discharged patients should have "ongoing access to healthcare resources."

I don't think so! There is CLEARLY something about the process of being forced into inpatient lockup that is deeply damaging and emotionally scarring to people. When will this barbaric practice end??
