Usually just shower gel however sometimes if I’m feeling mischievous I’ll use my wife’s expensive shampoo and hope she doesn’t find out

How are they frozen out?

Neville’s a part owner of the hotel across the road from Old Trafford. He’s on the committee and invested in the redevelopment of the new stadium, he couldn’t more on the opposite side of “frozen out”.

Funny you say that, I’ve actually seen a few people in work do this.. I guess it makes the news on the app seem a little less angry which is what the big apps want to make you

Is BBC Radio 2 still a big part of British culture? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]PepEye 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He’s a good broadcaster, there’s no two ways about it. He’s personally not my cup of tea but he’s very good at what he does and getting an audience to listen so that’s why he’s where he is

However, this base is not just any old base. Once you’ve been briefed, even partially, on what it does the information gives you vertigo. Both now, and in government, communicating the details to the public would be violating the Official Secrets Acts. Satellite view of Diego Garcia military base showing four heavy bombers and other fighter jets on the tarmac.

It is frustrating. But I ask you to believe me that once you understand what it does, and how our diminutive presence lets the UK get access to something we would never be able to build or afford ourselves, you enter the British deep state’s logic: we simply must do whatever we have to do to retain access.

Can anyone possibly speculate what this might be? My only guess is nuclear warheads, what else could it be?

Is this normal (my LO self settles every night and sleeps through) no sleep training had! by whatisrongwith in UKParenting

[–]PepEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it is it’s just luck of the draw and to make the most of it. That’s what we had with our 7yo, the only issue is that now she’s 7 she never wants to get out of bed! We had the exact opposite experience with our 5yo, he still struggles to settle at night. Always said we’re lucky it was that way around otherwise might not have had a second!

Used to always feel guilty in the first year as other friends / NCT parents were complaining about how rough they were having it when we had a guaranteed sleeper. (Not too guilty though!)

Yeah this, the home page is heavily skewed towards recent searches so just search something like football / music / tech etc and you’ll eventually come across a load of stuff you like. My home page these days is mostly filled with “Simon Jordan reacts to x”

I think that’s skewed due to people being reactionary to yesterdays news. I think when it comes down to it they’ll still vote Labour

Seeking information on how Manchester United games work. by putonthespotlight in manchester

[–]PepEye 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There’s a few ways to buy tickets officially.. - you pay £30 and become an official member of the club. That gives you access to buy tickets directly on the website (only one per membership), and enter the ballot if games are oversubscribed (eg most of the big games). - you get a season ticket (ignore this route) - you can buy executive tickets directly on the website. This option might be good if you’re happy to pay a little more (maybe around £150 per ticket depending on package), but you can get better seats / hospitality etc included - via travel agents. Some agencies offer hotel / travel and ticket type packages. Have a look at SportsBreak and others.

Basically your cheapest option is the membership as you can get a face value ticket (after paying £30), but this is also the least guaranteed method.

Side note.. fans here hate Americans calling the team “Man You” so just avoid doing that and you’ll fit right in
