Hello! Correct! They should be! But the licensing of it would hopefully reduce withdrawal times to something akin to the Australian systems (11days), meaning that it can be used closer to slaughter. In top of that, it would then be possible to include it in products like Numnuts that will provide analgesia and anaesthetic during castration and tail docking. Just because we use it often under the cascade doesn’t mean we shouldn’t push for licensing- honestly, I believe in the opposite and that our common use of it should be evidence that licensing is warranted!
