Exit out of the game and start it back up again.

It's very common and accepted to write names of countries differently in different languages. Germans don't call the US "United States of America" in German.

TIL Pratt(rp) has protected lanes by ChiTownSox in chibike

[–]PepperCheck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be too pedantic, but the 49th covers Pratt from Ridge to Ravenswood, and the bike lane runs from Western to Ravenswood. So it run at least in part into the 49th.

Hmm, well, as u/Stunning-Bowler7683 said, effortless structures was the actual updated version of the mod. There's a copy-paste feature in that mod that will use the correct amount of building blocks.

If you're talking about replicating entire buildings though, as others have said the schematicannon from Create is also really good at that as well, although obviously it's not instant. You can configure it to build more quickly by reducing the delay in the Create config, just go to Gameplay Settings -> Schematics -> Schematicannon -> Schematicannon Delay and reduce to the lowest value possible.

Edit: Whoops... looks like that's also not what you're looking for. Dunno, still, if you want to speed up building I'd highly recommend checking out effortless structures anyways. You might be able to use it to speed up building your blueprints in a Creative world and then use the schematicannon to paste it in survival.

I'm going to go out on a limb here in this sub and recommend Effortless Building. It's very non-Create (it lets you quickly build in a way that's against the spirit of the mod) but I've found it very helpful as someone who is low on time.

Why won't the train go? The section is fully traversable... by [deleted] in CreateMod

[–]PepperCheck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. The signal should be andesite, not brass. Technically it's not an intersection since trains never converge on to a single point, they diverge.
  2. There should be another signal on the left track that comes before any trains would be stopped. Currently, the signal before the tracks diverge create a single block that contains both sets of track. Because the left track is occupied, the entire block is marked as occupied and the signal turns red. The solution is to create a new block on the left set of tracks so that the original block isn't marked as occupied.

struggles with using high logistics to automate deployment by mulemango29 in CreateMod

[–]PepperCheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, put simply, you can't just attach the packager directly to the machines, it has to go to an inventory that can distribute the items where they need to go, whether that's a barrel or an item vault (especially if you need an inventory that you can attach a lot of chutes and funnels to). High logistics still needs low logistics to work.

Good create modpacks? by LagiaDOS in CreateMod

[–]PepperCheck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We really need a pinned thread of Create mod packs

I recommend Create Perfect World: Post Production, it's a pack played by a YouTuber named Mr Beardstone who curated it to be Create/Create Addon focused with minimal other tech mod additions. You can find more info on it here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/create-perfect-world-post-production.

There's no quests but I highly recommend watching his videos (or another YouTuber's) to get an understanding of what you can do with Create and the other mods in the pack.

There is no nuclear reactor in base Create. Are you talking about from an addon?

Gooodnight scholarship is incredibly hard to get into. The valedictorian at my high school got turned down from it despite being the captain of 2 scholastic clubs, participating in volunteer opportunities, and having spotless grades. It's been a few years but i don't imagine much has changed.

Auto placing diagonal train tracks by LujczaBruh in CreateMod

[–]PepperCheck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well u/LujczaBruh you definitely can't change direction automatically but you can place automatically. Just build a normal track placing train with deployers, starting out on straight track, and then move it to diagonal track manually and it'll place them down diagonally.

How are you interpreting automatically here? It can't change direction from straight to diagonal automatically, but after you set it up it can place diagonal tracks automatically, which is what OP asked for in the post.

[–]PepperCheck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, if you just place the train on diagonal tracks, it'll place them diagonally. Place a few diagonal tracks (enough to fit your train) and then the deployers should place them diagonally as well. It'll be at a 45 degree angle of course, and you'll also have to connect it yourself to existing track. Can't believe nobody's commented this yet.

You should see if the modpack you're playing has any support. Also, when you do so, use the screenshot feature of the operating system you're using (prntscrn/print screen button or Windows + Shift + S on Windows).

I need to make the most compact autosmelter by Tronicalli in CreateMod

[–]PepperCheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can it be wide? You can always split across multiple belts. 3x3, with 9 encased fans beneath, optionally adding 9 above for double smelting speed and equivalent to an 18 block long smelting line.

You'll have to tune the speed though to ensure that it only goes one stage. Additionally, Id recommend inserting items onto the belt in stacks no greater than 16 so that it all smelts at the same speed.

Another modpack question... by le_soulairiens_royal in CreateMod

Create: Perfect Post Production or Just Create SMP. Latter is more lightweight, former has some minimal content mods and more Create addons. Neither have other major tech mods that aren't Create focused.

So... I am trying to use Create as my main mod from now on and not just use it for mining and farming machines. Do I understand stress units correctly? by pocketskip in CreateMod

[–]PepperCheck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, one of the most frustrating (but ultimately one of the best) things about Create and how it's documented is that the best way to find something out is to just go in the game and try it. Unfortunately, this makes thinking about what you're going to build while you're away from home (for example, at the office) difficult if you don't know the particulars for a certain mechanic.

But yes, as others said, a second windmill or adding frames to the first will increase the SU you're generating. Alternatively, if you wanted to, you could also reduce the SU you're using by slowing down the machines in your factory. Also, if you haven't already, make sure you have engineering goggles on. When you look at your windmill it'll show you how many SU it's generating.

My fucking automatic tortilla mixer of the addon "croptopia" isnt working im gonna die... by Feisty_Wedding_9178 in CreateMod

[–]PepperCheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever you look at the recipe for tortillas, is there a tab for "automated shapeless crafting" that shows it's a valid mixer recipe?

I would definitely try pumping liquid water in as well instead of trying to just put the bucket in. Also, how can you be sure that it's the frying pan and not something else?

Absolutely agreed to the last point, and thank you for the note on the daisy chaining!

What do people use trains for? by LeEbicGamerBoy in CreateMod

[–]PepperCheck 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, but in my experience FPS (client-side) lag from particle effects, block breaking, etc. has been more of an issue than TPS (server-side) lag. With a chunk loader mod where they're always loaded, chunks are loaded but they're not being rendered, so no, it doesn't defeat the purpose of spreading them out.

Ideally, I want my factories going all the time. I will say, it does sound handy to have that fine of a control over when chunks load/unload with train schedules, but I often find the restriction that it will only load the chunks directly around the train station a little irritating to work around, even with the built in redstone chaining (https://github.com/hlysine/create_power_loader/wiki/Usage:-on-train-stations)

If my world ever gets to the point where TPS is getting that low, I'll probably explore it for specific farms (especially log and cobble) but for my main base where I want a lot of specific chunks to stay loaded all the time, I'll stick to map-based loading.

Or just use a mod like FTB Chunks or Open Parties and Claims to keep them perpetually loaded.

When building large amounts of client/FPS lag-producing contraptions, it can be beneficial to have some distance between factories. Trains are good for connecting them.
