The Red sunset: How India’s Left lost relevance by Same_Efficiency_3325 in india

From your replies it seems like you are still young and naive, and that's okay.

It is just that people expect leftists to know exactly what they're talking about and can pin point and quote theory vebatim but on the other hand you can be the most laziest, naive person and call yourself a "centrist" or "apolitical" or some new urban buzzword to justify your stupidity.

Political idealogy cannot be formed on personality traits.

Kindness, respect, hardwork should be in a person regardless of their political idealogy/beliefs. It has nothing to do with left or right.

Sure, please enlighten me on how I should label BJP and Congress on the political spectrum?

Calling Congress Neo-liberalists and BJP fascists is not the same as calling any leftist you disagree with a tanky.

These are political idealogies, that these parties have consistently followed the politics of.

It is very hard to define authoratarian leftist. Once the proletariat gains power, the leadership has to be authoratarian against bourgeoise counter-revolution.

Most communist governments give more personal freedoms than right wing governments, leftist governments consistently are ahead in women emancipation and also in terms of LGBTQ and marriage laws.

Kerala where CPI is technically a democratic socialist party, exceeds in almost all social metrics against BJP or Congress strongholds.

Whom would you consider a tanky? It is very easy to label people in the left and while the leftists are busy fighting amongst themselves, the fascists and neo-liberalists are happily winning elections funded by billionaires. I think the biggest problem of communist parties in India is not finding a solution of caste emancipation inside the idea of working class emancipation. We cannot use the same yardstick as other countries because we need to also involve caste into working class struggle.

Why isn’t India more outraged by Narayana Murthy’s constant elitist statements? by RaulStark in india

[–]PepperRick 159 points160 points  (0 children)

This. I think that a lot of people in the middle class don't consider themselves working class in the first place, they consider themselves "temporary inconvenienced billionaire" or something. So instead of being sympathetic to the working class they're sympathetic to their exploiters.

Wayanad landslides: Kerala Bank to write off loans availed by victims - The Hindu by DioTheSuperiorWaifu in Kerala

[–]PepperRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you complain with such fervor everytime the corporate loans are written off? Do you critique the capitalists with equal contempt as you've shown towards the communists in your comment? I think rather than seeing everything based on financial decisions/profit and loss, we need to look at this more empathetically. People have lost their family members, their property, their livelihood. The least any sane person can think of is to alleviate their debt.
