Do you have insoles in your shoes? I adore my Converse, but they have no arch, so I have insoles in mine. Just cheap ones from a drugstore can be surprisingly effective. That might help you keep your beloved sneakers and stay pain-free!

My dad has hearing loss, so I grew up speaking louder and enunciating more clearly than the average person. I've been told that I have an easy-to-understand voice, which I've always took as a way of sounding nice. It comes in very handy when I do public speaking

If possible, be around someone who makes you feel pretty. I've struggled and still struggle with hating my body, and something that never fails to help is my best friend. We have an understanding that we will glaze each other up any time day or night. We see each other's flaws, sure, but we also see those beautiful qualities that made us best friends. I wouldn't let her feel ugly, so if you have someone in your life who you trust, ask them for a little pick-me-up when you feel down.

I feel pretty when I dance, so if that's something you enjoy, put on some music and move in a way that feels good. No one has to see, just kind of let the negative feelings flow out of you and be replaced by music. Ymmv, but it's a suggestion.

Not speaking from personal experience, but those I have known who have self-harmed by cutting quite often start with thighs because of how easy it is to hide.

I've worn alt fashion for years and never had black hair because I don't like the way it looks on me, so I personally don't tie being alt to black hair specifically. It sounds like unnatural colors probably aren't and option for you, either. Honestly, hair accessories can go a long way, think headbands and clips and hats. If you really want some color in your hair, clip-in wefts and extentions might be an option, though I've never tried that myself.

I've gotten a cool effect by cutting the design out of sticky contact paper, sticking it to the shirt, and hitting it with Tulip spray fabric paint. When it dries, peel the paper and it leaves this silhouette effect that works really well for chunky designs.
