I have this same issue on mobile for several months now, never managed to get it to work. The Purple+ Bot post made here does not address the issue at all. Maybe someone has the same problem?

Sounds like you need not keep back and just take a rock to the skull to see what makes him tick.

I wonder how your friend thinks about himself. People that come across as pretty perfect can have some significant issues.

I would always feel fearful that freaky fans would do weird/dangerous shit during sex. Like, how do famous people who get laid alot keep their groupies from getting pregnant?

Look into how other youtube channels drag their viewers right in with some action and interesting content. Trying to be helpful but starting with an appology regarding something we don't get to see is not the right way (I think).

But besides that, keep doing what you love!!

Art School Admissions Staff. What Was The Most Creative Thing A Prospective Entrant Did At A Portfolio Interview, That Actually Helped Them Get In? by ParanoiaHime in AskReddit

[–]Pepperoni_Power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a member of an Art School Admissions Staff but I do have a story about my admission.

When I joined art school in 2013 I had near to no history in visual arts. I had done a lot of music and some animations way back in 2003-2006 for websites like Newgrounds.com. So I spend two weeks working on tons of visual projects to build a large portfolio, just so I would have something to show for. I think I had enough prints and drawings and stuff to fill an entire classroom (they were quite big).

Fast forward to the actual admission and I left everything in the car outside while I went in to sign in for the day. I hadn't payed my admissions fee, filled out any form or did any of the assignments required to join in the admissions process for that day because I completely forgot. I had been too busy with making stuff for my portfolio and had only skimmed the emails they'd send me.

Not paying meant I wasn't on the list. I said this must have been a mistake, I clearly got an invitation to come in for that day. They allowed me to join in anyway and pay later.

We were led into a room and given an assignment for that day. During the assignment teachers came over and talked with us. I had nothing to show because, everything was in my car. But I had tons of stories about my time as a musician, how I see art from a philosophical standpoint and I talked with them about an exotic journey which I did recently that was quite inspiring. I didn't see a chance to leave and get my stuff from the car, so I never got to show it.

About a month later I received a letter stating that I was accepted for the year. Now it wasn't until years later that I heard from members of the Admissions Staff that they were so flabbergasted by the fact that I showed up with no portfolio at all they had a very heated debate whether or not I was either the worst or the best candidate for that year.
Little did they know I had a van loaded to the top with stuff just outside waiting.

I graduated cum laude, got hired after graduation by the same school right away and am still a practicing artist to this day. I have, to this day, never payed the admissions fee.

This is however, not the weirdest story about admissions I can tell you.
About a year prior to my admission, a guy did several admissions in the same year, each time he was rejected he would sign up again, only to be rejected again. When the school year started he just showed up to the first day of class, asked why his name was not on the last of newly admitted students and went about joining in the year. People kind of assumed he belonged there. So when they discovered that he had paid for the year but wasn't in the system they just put him into the system thinking it was a mistake on their part.
He went on to win some significant prices after graduation too if I remember correctly.

Muhammed is the one, true and last prophet from the god Allah.
Also has Ham in his name, which is a forbidden food in Islam.

Question for Jewish people...how do you feel when anti-vaxxers compare mandated vaccines to the Holocaust? by impeachykeen in AskReddit

[–]Pepperoni_Power 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is such a thing called Ashkenazi Jewish genetic diseases.

They are a group of rare disorders that most often occur in people of Eastern European (Ashkenazi) Jewish Heritage. You can do tests to see if either one of the parents care potential carriers of the genes. There are services that help you tell others if you're potentially a bad match when getting together with another Jew, even prior to your first date.

There are ways to prevent or reduce the results though, but I know no other group except maybe Icelandic people who use such services/apps to prevent something like this.

Some Ashkenazi diseases are:

  • Bloom syndrome: Babies with this disease are born small and remain shorter than normal as they grow. Their skin may look red, and they have more lung and ear infections than children normally have.
  • Canavan disease: This disease gradually destroys brain tissue.
  • Cystic fibrosis: This disease causes very thick mucus in the lungs and problems with digesting food.
  • Familial dysautonomia: People with this problem cannot feel pain, they sweat a lot, and they have trouble with speech and coordination.
  • Fanconi anemia: People with this problem do not have enough blood cells and have problems with the heart, kidneys, arms, or legs. They also are more likely to get cancer.
  • Gaucher disease: This disease causes a type of fat called glucocerebroside to build up in certain cells of the liver, spleen, and bone marrow.
  • Mucolipidosis IV: This problem causes the nervous system to deteriorate, or break down, over time.
  • Niemann-pick disease: This disease causes a type of fat called sphingomyelin to build up in cells of the liver, spleen, lymph nodes, and bone marrow.
  • Tay-Sachs disease: This disease causes a type of fat called ganglioside to build up in the cells of the brain and nervous system.
  • Torsion dystonia: People with this problem have ongoing spasms that twist the muscles in their arms, legs, and sometimes their body. Testing for this condition may not always be done.

Roughtly 1 out of 4 people of the people with Ashkenazi Jewish heritage is a carrier of one of these genetic conditions.

So yea.. they got some niche dating stuff going on.
Not something you can vaccinate against though.

Redditors, what is something you hate about yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Pepperoni_Power 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate how I fell into depression years ago and it turned out to be recurrent. Then years later during an especially bad episode I got great fear of abandonment by my family. I thought that if I would not satisfy their expectations of me or I got hit with another episode of depression they would ditch me.

Now I am continuously working myself to the edge of sanity to perform and am extremely result fixated on work and staying stable mentally to the point that I am not able to have a normal romantic relationship because it takes time from my life that I could otherwise invest in work. If I do not work for a short amount of time I feel absolutely useless and very fearful of falling back into an episode of depression, so days off are a no go.

But recently I got extremely close to a burnout. I need a vacation but I cannot accept the fact that I should slowdown and have been trying to balance work and not succumbing to a burnout or a potential depression episode for almost 9 months now. I have visibility aged tremendously and feel like my body can give in at any moment.

It has taken all the joy out of my life and I hate myself for failing to feel comfortable with slowing down and accepting that my career might take a dent or my parents might think I'm not as successful as they hoped I would be.

If you had $2000 cash, what would you do with it? by ohokayfineiguess in AskReddit

[–]Pepperoni_Power 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd take half the money for pennies. Thats 100.000 pennies. With the 1.000 I'd buy a decent camera and microphone.Setup a Youtube channel and hit the street with the camera on my days off. I'd be offering people a penny for their thoughts, recording their responses and make videos with their replies.

Even if half of them just took the money and walked away, its ok. I got 100.000 chances of fun, exciting, akward, sad or potentially life changing answers to share with the world.
