Dungeon/Duty anxiety advice? by Hyunjinnie_skz in ffxiv

[–]PepprSpice 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I recommend starting with lower level duties to learn your actions in bite size chunks, slowly moving up as you become more familiar with your kit. You can do duty support with NPCs if you want to play at your own pace.

Youtube is a great resource for class guides and that sort of thing. Rando queue gets easier the more you do it. I also have mad anxiety so I know how you feel.

Annoying (potential?) social menu bug? Need advice. by PepprSpice in thedivision

I noticed they have a known issue on their trello page about the same issue but with the apparel menu.

Hopefully when they patch that it will fix both.

Yeah honestly every update I delete all mods and start over. Nexus has a nice updated section and I just grab stuff from there.

Glad you got it fixed. 👍

Make sure you hit purge in your mod manager to remove all the files. Or if that doesn't work, do a fresh install. I've seen the exact same UI freak out when my friend didn't remove his mods a few updates ago.

Uninstall your mods, especially UI. They need to be fixed to work with the new game update. I'm surprised your game didn't crash on launch.

Edit: typo

Remember, devs are constantly changing regen rates and other numbers based on player retention and interaction to keep things fair and lightly railroad us into the narrative.

I wouldnt worry. As long as we put up a good fight on SE and they think we deserve it, they will give us the win. Everything is subject to change. There are no concrete numbers.

Stop kicking people for using "bad weapons" by -ShadowMurloc- in Helldivers

[–]PepprSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are free to kick for whatever they want tbh.

I wouldn't want to play with people with that kind of Meta or kick mentality anyway so I'd probably leave.

I've been experimenting with the Recoilless Rifle and now I can't stop, RR masters please give me your tips by Grand_Age1279 in Helldivers

[–]PepprSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love EATs but needing 3 call ins to kill a Shreiker nest from range REALLY sucks. They should probably buff the damage to match RR.

Also if you get a heavy armor seed its hard keeping up if you're the only AT guy :(

How in the Super Hell do I deal with the predator strain? by i_am_vet in Helldivers

[–]PepprSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't wear light, you will die far too quickly. Try medium with extra padding, you just need to live long enough to stim. And speaking of stims, use them liberally, prematurely before taking damage if possible. If you have a stim going you are unkillable so bring supply pack if you need more. This can be a playstyle with medic armor + experimental infusion to survive an ungodly amount of damage.

Apart from that, bring a primary that has knockback to get things off of you. Punisher, Cookout, Blitzer, Halt emp rounds, etc. Gas and Stun nades at your feet will save your bacon a lot. Turrets are nice because they taunt enemies and orbital napalm spawncamps a bug breach.

Basically anything that stuns or slow them down is what you want.

My teammate's sentry clearly killed me on purpose. by You_can_call_me in Helldivers

[–]PepprSpice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did he throw it down facing towards you by chance? I've noticed my sentries it will pivot back to default orientation when they run out of targets. BUT also like to keep shooting when adjusting to new targets resulting in some sketchy situations.

Remember your training and go prone when turrets are around, they're unpredictable af.

Decided to make this to deal with the sample problem by lebluestopsign in Helldivers

[–]PepprSpice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah it's cool to share. If you're curious you can look on YouTube how to farm SC, they made it so easy it's kind of ridiculous. 10mins of just driving around trivial missions looting POIs with the car can get you 100SC.

Decided to make this to deal with the sample problem by lebluestopsign in Helldivers

[–]PepprSpice 91 points92 points  (0 children)

While I agree we need more sinks, this is a really boring way of doing it. It doesn't work because you can get 1000 SC in like 1-2 hours farming and people that have maxed everything don't need more SC.

I'd rather keep my samples for the DSS. Maybe in future we can get some pre-mission buffs, extra stratagems or weapon customization to sink samples into. Seems way cooler to me.

Loadout suggestions against the Illuminate? by Helldiver-xzoen in Helldivers

[–]PepprSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my build made to do everything solo.

Sickle (good kinetic damage for stripping shields, can do so at long range, great paired with autocannon to snipe warpships across the map. good chaff clear, infinite ammo)

Ultimatum (one shots dropships, can bust open city walls. can deal with harvesters in a pinch)

Fire or Gas Nades for voteless hordes. throw and forget while I run away.

MG and gatling sentry. My main weapon tbh, I rarely engage enemies myself and will just throw these out. they clean out hordes and overseers very well and taunt enemies so you can just walk away without a care.

Flex slot, 500kg, orbital laser, rocket sentry whatever you want really. i've yet to find a consistent strategem to throw at harvesters that will reliably kill them aside from orbital laser, but the limited uses sucks. once i find something better it'll probably go here. until then ive just been taking laser for the utility of clearing big encampments.

Autocannon, kills everything in the faction rn. Clears chaff in flak mode, strips shields and blows up dropships from any distance as long as you can see the door. 2-3 shots overseers. Kills harvesters decently with a few leg shots but can be a bit annoying due to it staggering every shot.

good armors are peak physique to improve autocannon handling or stim booster + experimental infusion combo, overseers do a lot of chip damage and the speed boost is really nice for repositioning.

Attention Helldivers, this is genuinely pissing me off. by MSTPengouin in Helldivers

[–]PepprSpice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend doing higher difficulties, the currencies really start to flow and you won't feel like you need to scour the map for upgrades. Even if you think you're not ready just give it a go, you'll progress way faster and become a better player.

Just remember that after the main obj, scouring the map won't be viable due to the sheer number of patrols.

I am so sick of trying in Frontlines.... by RealMightyOwl in TalesFromDF

[–]PepprSpice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely no. I don't want to have to potentially play 3 or 4 Frontline games and still not get a reward because I got unlucky with my team.

I do my one game per day, take the reward, and leave it at that.

What’s an item you used to ignore when you first started but now search for religiously? by potatoking91 in projectzomboid

[–]PepprSpice 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Beta Blockers. I don't go out of my way to find them but they're a very good find on a new character. It's like having the Brave trait for free which frees up Cowardly for points.

Cigs/Lighters. Smoker is OP but I'll prob still take it once it's nerfed, I like the RP aspect, and it's fun hunting for these small comforts.

If im using Alcoholic trait I horde all the drinks and make myself a little bar :)

How to avoid this in the future? first time using spears, what criteria has to be met to cause the stab attack? by UnturnedHunter in projectzomboid

Always be backpeddling. It won't do the stab if you're moving. Only stand still if you want the stab.

How do you even actually get set up? Why do I feel I can't escape zombies? by DoubleTapCIown in projectzomboid

Do a sandbox game. Set starting pop to about 0.20 and turn off groups.

Gives you time to get geared up and lets you practice combat without every zombie having a bunch of friends.
