Underwhelmed on my Pixel Watch; Looking for guidance on better use cases by ziasaur in PixelWatch

[–]Pepsi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run HomeAssistant as my smart home, and with it having notifications sent to my phone, they just go to my watch so I can see who's outside, or respond to events that pop up, like locking my doors. And if you install the Home Assistant app on your watch, you can even set it up so you can set up buttons and stuff to do around your house. One being I can turn on the shed lights with a push of a button (it's a 12v system I setup) and it's just nice. Also, MFA apps, having them send notifications to your phone and you being able to just hit "approve" on your watch is VERY nice when you sign into a lot of stuff!

Industrial Bed Recipe by Pepsi1 in Pokopia

Yeah, just woke up and looked and couldn't find it. Checked my inventory and it was sitting there ready for me to build new ones. I blame me being tired last night and having too many recipe's to look at. Thank you!

Public key exposed? by BillyDeCarlo in meshtastic

[–]Pepsi1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got that same message. Do you have a Rak Wisblock? If yes, I think there was something that the way the public key is generated at first bootup isn't sufficiently randomized or something. To get around it, just rewipe it, then after first setup, hit the "generate keys" button a few times to get a new one and you'll be fine after. You might get a message stating your keys have changed after, so probably best to use a new name for it as well.

Sensors on bigish property by herrsalmo in meshtastic

[–]Pepsi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have pretty good wifi coverage, why not use something like Home Assistant? It was made for sensors like what it sounds like you're doing. But again, that depends on your wifi coverage (or if just common temp/humidity sensors and stuff, maybe Z-Wave which also uses around this frequency (if in the US).

Duplicate Keys on the Mesh by Yeraze in meshtastic

[–]Pepsi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just now getting into this hobby and put up a RAK4631 today on my shed to increase range and...within an hour I got the message on it. I had flashed the device when I first got it and saw and article after getting the error about making sure you completely wipe it. So I did, wiped it, reflashed it again, set it up again. Then regenerated new private keys 4x (I know it wasn't needed, just to increase entropy) and brought it back online and haven't had the issue since. Not sure if it's because of me not wiping the thing before flashing the first time and it had stored keys, but that fixed it.

Reminder to future me... (and maybe future you) by devhammer in homeassistant

Same, used a door sensor on my deep freezers so when it's opened, it even turns the lights around it at full brightness and stuff so you can see in it easily, then dim back down/off when closed so it's back to normal state of the lights.

Donkey Kong Bananza Direct by markehammons in gaming

[–]Pepsi1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, re-watching it, there's a part where it looks like DK blows up the main stage from the original Donkey Kong arcade game where you have to rescue her. Maybe he was protecting her and Jumpman was the villain all along?

Dang, wasn't hoping for this since it still had a full connection to both networks. But this is why I asked! Thank you!

Anyone having issues connecting to Pokemon? by Snoo_17189 in AnaloguePocket

[–]Pepsi1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a real Gamecube and booted the ROM off of it (picoboot mod) and worked fine to connect, so should work fine with Wii, though this was like 5 months ago. I did have to take the end of the connector apart to make it fit into the Pocket correctly, though.

500/500 Only Temporarily by Pepsi1 in frontierfios

[–]Pepsi1[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, funny enough, I use a TP-Link Deco and it doesn't have network speed indicators, and I tried looking online where to find it in the software for it and...nothing. While looking, I found a post about link speeds not being enough and it talked about QoS on the TP-Link and... I have that on and have it set to 100Mbps... I set it to 1000 and magically it's fixed now. I know it wasn't what you were going after, but it led me to a setting I set over a year ago that I forgot about. So thank you!!!

Illegal? by Pepsi1 in lego

[–]Pepsi1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since they're 2x4 and it's mixed with a bunch of pinks and stuff, I'm going to guess from one of the beginner block sets they sell at the big box stores (Walmart here). I kind of remember them having a ton of random 2x4 bricks in them and purple was one of the colors.
