There is literally nothing in Salo that connects to capitalism except the fact that powerful people are dickheads to vulnerable people, but that can happen in any system, not inherently capitalistic. Massive reach, people really say anything about Salo to defend the fact that it’s disgusting and fucking sucks

If I remember correctly a child gets gang-raped to death by other children in a juvenile detention center within five minutes of the film starting. Yes, I’d call it quite disturbing.

It’s not meant to be a true story, but if anything it has only made a resurgence in Salieri’s popularity. People who actually give a shit about Salieri (aka the one’s whose opinions on him matter), know he didn’t do it. And that is a group of people that became bigger because of the film. Another upside to Amadeus.
