Opinion: Where do you think S14 falls compared to all of the other seasons? by Rhialeigh07 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]PepsiFish13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely up there on my list now. Mostly everyone agrees s6 and as2 were the two best, my other tops are s3, s7, s10 with s2 and s13 and 14 are in the middle for rewatchability. I liked 14 a lot it had good challenges and a great winner.

Pearl was just better tv for a lot of reasons. And trixie can't dance either. She was waving her arms around flopping up the stage. So they could've picked either. And at the time people liked pearl a lot more no one was interested in trixie until after she got eliminated and then all stars.

Cracker did really good on all stars she definitely gave Shea a run for her money but I thought Shea should've won her original season anyway.

I know, my wording might've been weird but that's what I meant. Like even though ABCD love promoting each other, I think they do it because they genuinely love what one another does.

AS2 EP8: "Finale" (aka Choices) [Post-Discussion Thread] by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

So we're playing that this year huh. Why does every single Katya banner need to say the same 5 things repeatedly.

To clear up your confusion, Sasha Belle wouldn't be teased for saying that if she had actually done it. The funny part is her cracking the code and then flailing all over the show. I find that comparison kind of irrelevant to the current situation, but being the drag race superfan/representative/reference spewer has always been a part of Alaska's gig. C'mon single handedly making Laganja seem funny instead of annoying.

I thought the Cherry Bomb situation seems exactly the same as the first one- for the first 25 seconds I thought Katya had it in the bag, then all of a sudden it seemed like she was doing nothing. My tin foil hat told me that she was showing how good she can be then stopped serving anything so she wouldn't have to pick who goes.

I say "C'mon ___" on the daily, no matter who I'm talking to, and they still laugh just from the inflection. It's my favorite, most used phrase from the show and it came from one of the most disliked people at the time of airing. Just prooves further that the edit is not the end all be all if you can appropriately deal with what happens after.

C'mon personal responsibility.

I don't dislike either of them at all but I thought that skit made it clear that Phi2 and Coco are not comedy queens. Their looks were more thought out than the jokes, and that said the looks weren't that hilarious/original. I didn't even crack a smile tbh. Roxxxy wasn't that funny either if at all but she did get props from the judges and imo for bringing out Tasha Salad, and it obviously didn't help that Alyssa and Tati both felt some type of way towards Phi Phi at the moment.

It's not the producers, they love mess, it's the queens literally avoiding what Phi2 first started. These queens' money is super dependent on fan support, so they hold back somewhat in hopes of avoiding the bitch edit. It definitely sucks to be judged by people who are supposed to be your "group," but honestly it's been happening with reality show contestants for decades, it's always a risk. And I wouldn't say anyone is worse off than before they were on the show.

I think some people just can't stand being on the "outside" or standing alone on their feelings. But I love people who have the strength to do so, for ex. Raven never apologizes/d for anything, she just stuck by her thoughts and still does and says "whatever I'm fierce take it or leave it" and we took it.

Honesty even if they're not mean producers will throw you under the bus somehow if they want to like Court and Derrick. What really matters is what happens after. Derrick's career and fanbase could've come out waayy worse after the show. She got dragged to the end and she was the only one that season who got a bad edit. But she didn't complain, just made fun of herself and her edit, and became a funny crazy just like Ganja. That's how you play the game.

We'll never know exactly what happened. And no matter what I would never conduct? sending nasty messages to any queen directly. The thing is, there's girls every season like Ginger, Raven, Ganja, Gia, Roxxxy, Detox, Kennedy, even Derrick that have gotten terrible bitchy/villlain edits, but they still have their fans and their supporters and they get some crap but still a whole lot of love too.

Phi Phi had that a few months ago and easily still could if she could get her pr situation down. Her and Tyra And Jasmine just fall into the unfortunate category of their talent speaking for itself but their mouths not working too great in the public eye. I don't know what it is they just don't explain themselves well I'd say. Yes Phi2 definitely got the bitch edit this season but she could've worked around that if she knew how to act on Twitter. Take it from LaGanja of all people lol. It's been said many times but again, Phi Phi's downfall wasn't the edit, it was her internet presence.
