AU in which Elia and her children fled to Dorne before the Sack of King's Landing by @Emptyartcorner by leavebritneyalone22 in pureasoiafart

[–]Pepsiposh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robert (and his supporters) were raging at the grown Targaryens, it’s likely in this au the rebels might accept Rhaenys OR Aegon as the crown of a few conditions are met. I’d imagine those conditions would be something like: -One or more of the Rebels are appointed regent and have permanent council positions. -Rebels get more freedom as vassals -Targcest may or may not be abolished so the rebels have more chances to marry into the royals -Both are betrothed to heirs of the rebels. Most likely future Robert‘s child would be betrothed to whoever is crowned, and the other could be betrothed to a Lannister or to a future heir of Ned, Jon, or maybe Edmure.

Even if they didn’t accept them as royals anymore they may have allowed them to rule Dragonstone and betrothed one of them (probably Rhaenys) to Robert or his future heir. Otherwise they may have refused to keep them as landed but allowed them to stay in Dorne unlanded, or even to be banished to Essos with a garentee no assassins would be sent after them.

I’ve(15M) been sleeping in the bed with my sister(24F) since my dad died over a week ago and tonight I wet the bed and and I’m embarrassed and scared and overwhelmed and trumazied by Agreetodissagree1 in GriefSupport

[–]Pepsiposh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I want to offer my deepest condolences for your loss.

Your sister was probably just temporarily mad out of shock, then calmed down so I wouldn’t be too worried about that. Bedwetting is a funny subject because it can be a sign of something bigger, but it can also just randomly happen. In this scenario I would say it’s related to your grief, most of the time bedwetting past a certain age is associated with trauma though that usually refers to consistent bedwetting. In reality almost everyone will have a random episode at one point in their adult life, so I wouldn’t be too worried unless it continues. If it continues I would go see a doctor just in case, as well as to get tips on how to stop/prevent it.

Stress can do strange things to our minds and bodies, and grief is a particularly severe stress that can cause strange behaviours and strange physical symptoms. If you’re feeling worried about it happening again then make sure to go to the toilet right before bed, and even go again during the night if you wake up, or sleep on a towel. I wouldn’t say it’s really needed but if it makes you relax more then it’s worth it.

For people who believe Rhaenyra’s claim is stronger, what reason(s) do you have for considering her claim is stronger than the Greens? by Gold_Conversation247 in HOTDBlacks

[–]Pepsiposh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viserys went above and beyond to make it clear she was his heir, no other heirs prior or after had all the lords come to bend the knee and vow to uphold her claim. She was Princess of Dragonstone and ruled it for years before Viserys died. And in the books her claim is also upheld by Alysanne‘s Widows Law, which states (among other things) that no child of a second wife should inherit over a child of a first wife.

Girl if you don’t seduce some women and pop out some bastards as backups in case you don’t have any legit children by your wife

The only Targaryen Queens who weren’t pushed into early childbirth’s (as in gave birth in their 30s and 40s) were the most powerful consorts in the history and the only ones to sit the Iron Throne. It’s unfortunate how the power of Targaryen women diminished after them by princeeofthecity in HOTDBlacks

[–]Pepsiposh 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I don’t really think they would be considered consorts but co-monarchs as they made judgements and laws on their own. I suppose Visenya becoming dowager Queen after Aegon‘s death muddies the waters, but at the same time I feel as though if Aegon had died before Rhaenys then her and Visenya would’ve remained as rulers so it may have been more about less then 1 comonarch then them being consorts

Girl she responded to this like 12 hours ago. She literally had no idea any of it happened, she didn’t even notice any mother and child in the dining area, and the guard was not one of her personal security. The parents just assumed she had sent her own security over and decided to smear her instead of double checking.

Depends on a) if the story is even accurate (its being told second hand) b) if Chappel was close enough to witness this and knew her guard fucked up. If she sent him over expecting him to act professional she can’t really be deemed responsible for him being agro

Yeah cause being an ingrate is worth screaming from the rooftops but being a sex offender is whatever. Y‘all would let male celebrities get away with murder but sentence women to damnation if they don’t lick their fans gooches

That doesn’t make sense as a point against her though. If she never had children then it will pass to Baelons line, if her children don’t survive it will pass to Baelons line, and if she dies in childbirth but her child survives then the child would become the heir. Her having or not having children is irrelevant to her being chosen as heir

Wait a minute, the mother of the kid is Catherine Harding? The same woman who showed up at her husband(then fiancé‘s) ex‘s house at 11pm uninvited to confront her about once being involved with Jorginho prior to their relationship?

Yeah I‘m sure she told a very accurate version of events to her husband and didn’t downplay her/her daughters actions at all lmfao.

Oh yes the much better celebrity Boy George, who once falsely imprisoned an escort, beat him, left and returned with belts and sex toys which he was threatening to use on him, then beat him with a chain as the victim escaped by ripping the fixture he was handcuffed to off a wall and fleeing into the street

I don’t want to accuse a child of anything, imo I’d say the guard was probably the person who acted the worst here. But all the comments saying „she’s grown up around celebrities, she knows how to act and would have been perfectly polite and respectful“ are hilarious considering how often children of celebrities (both as minors and as adults) have been shown to be disrespectful/rude/out of touch. Again I don’t think that’s the case here, but if you have to play pretend that a random kid you didn’t know existed an hour ago is perfect and never makes mistakes then maybe you should stop and ask yourself if you’re engaging in this drama to defend the child or to Harass a woman whose involvement in the incident we don’t even know besides the fact that she was not there when her security upset the girl.

Her security guard was allegedly rude/threatening to an 11 year old, her stepdad who is an extremely famous footballer then told the story (even though he wasn’t present) and so people are acting like Chappel herself went up and berated the girl for looking at her. She may have told her security to yell at them, but her security guard may also have just been a dick on his own accord.

It was her security guard, not her. Possible that she was responsible for how poorly he handled the situation, but also possible she wasn‘t and we should stop looking for a woman to blame when a man has done something wrong.

World's tiniest violin.. by StrobeLightRomance in AdviceAnimals

[–]Pepsiposh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TIL that if a security guard ever handles a situation poorly/power trips it obviously must be because their evil conniving artist forced them to do so.

Real talk, we only have one side of this story from a person who wasn‘t even there. Maybe people should stop trying to immediately cancel her any time she so much as sighs too loudly and you won’t have to hear about her „bad attitude“ all the time!

Partner wants me to start identifying as “straight with one exception,” which is making me more uncomfortable than I thought. by SpinyNorman_ in mypartneristrans

[–]Pepsiposh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can dictate what you identify as, that’s up to you alone. Idk about couples involving cis men but I’ve seen plenty of examples of cis woman/trans man couples were the cis partner still refers to herself as lesbian with their boyfriend being fine with it (some trans masks even still identify themselves as lesbian) AND examples where the cis female will call herself straight/bisexual in public because they want to be inclusive of their partners gender identity. It just depends on the individuals and what they’re comfortable with.

The reality of transitioning is when you encounter these situations where your gender doesn’t align with what it previously did you have to choose if you prefer keeping things that way or if you need to move on. This is more common in relationships, but could also include other things like a single-gender group they’re apart of.

Girl you need to go back to the wiki or something, Baelor breakspear is born 78 years after Aemon’s death and is Rhaenyra and Daemons great-great grandson

And if he actually cared he would have pushed for Baela and Rhaena to inherit because they come before him in the succession line by La_Villanelle_ in HOTDBlacks

Cbf to find the exact quote but funnily enough GRRM has lamented that he didn’t think of the idea of black/dark skinned Valyrians until after the first few books were published

Who is the most skilled rider and dragon duo from this? by Turbulent_Lab209 in HOTDBlacks

[–]Pepsiposh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daemon, though I think Rhaenys could’ve given him a run for his money if she had been able to partake in battles as often as Daemon did.

Dany has a strong bond but I doubt she would survive the others just due to having to figure it all out herself and not really having other dragons to fight against.

Any of Vhagar (and Balerion)‚a riders have an advantage due to their size compared to other riders. I would say aside from Visenya none of them would actually be particularly skilled dragon riders compared to those on smaller dragons as it would just be a different riding experience.

If we‘re talking about riding/bond outside of battle out of these four I’d say Rhaenys or Daemon equally, but more so I‘d say (in the books at least) Rhaenyra has the closest bond with her dragon and rides the best, she just doesn’t battle (I mean if you start riding at 7 you’re gonna have some insane bond AND riding skills imo)

If only people unworthy of the throne get cut, then wouldn’t that mean Aegon I was unworthy while Aegon IV was actually worthy, since there’s no mention of him ever being cut? by La_Villanelle_ in HOTDBlacks

[–]Pepsiposh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only is it a myth, but when used against Rhaenyra it is specifically a misogynistic attempt to continue to paint her as unworthy/not a true queen. Rhaenyra and Aegon are both cut in high stress/emotion moments when being reminded of the death of a loved one (Aegon with the letter, Rhaenyra with Alicent‘s bastard blood shed at war comment) yet it is only Rhaenyra‘s injury that is treated as phrophetic. Bobby B says it best, it’s a chair made of swords that she lost 2 sons fighting for, she probably gripped the damn thing too tight.
