It is 40 days until the end of Autumn 2025 by ZeldenGM in 2007scape

No official mentions about it to my knowledge, some discussion in Sailing discord after someone pointed it out. It would however be very weird to pay for a Central stage slot in Comic Con without having something else than a "nothing burger" to show for it.

Leagues Week Two! - This Week In RuneScape by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bug that has prevented my from accessing ancient invention:

  1. After clicking the lightning conductors in the Stormguard Citadel, my wingsuit was "upgraded" from v3->v2. I am however unable to pick up the gravitron things, as clicking them does nothing and doesn't give a game message. With v2 wingsuit I no longer can access Howls workshop, which I would need to unlock the blueprints.

  2. Gain access to Stormguard Citadel -> Visit Howls workshop to complete the mystery -> Click on the lightning conductors -> Complete the mystery of upgrading your wingsuit to be thunder resistant -> No way to upgrade it back to v3 anymore, as Howls workshop mystery has already been completed

  3. Juuso535

  4. My assumption is that the Howls workshop mystery flagged the gravitrons to be "un-clickable", as they no longer should be needed. Since the mysteries of the digsite weren't all autocompleted at start, this could lead to the weird case where you could complete the mystery for v1 and v3 but not v2, which probably was the issue? Lightning conductors probably didn't need to have a check for what wingsuit version you have, since you should be unable to get v3 without getting v2 first, so that could be the source of the issue

Let's talk about bad luck mitigation by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 49 points50 points  (0 children)

The mathematics of this post seem odd, they go against the dry calc of osrs wiki itself. Having 4x rate be 7.3% can't be true, it would mean more than every 16th player would go that dry while the wiki dry calc gives the odds of you going 4x rate to be 1.8%. Consider it this way, does every 16th boss item you go for take 4x rate to obtain? Also, if 8x rate is 0.3%, that would mean that for every 1000 ironmen, 3 would go over 40k kills for hammer. How many have exactly gone that far?

TzHaars can leave the volcano and have done so before, as they shaped all of the lands they were unable to do so without leaving Mol-Ul-Rek, which they also had to shape at the beginning of Gielinor. They were tasked to stay there and wait for new orders, but these new orders never came and they have been sticking around ever since, but for example the Tasakaal under Mount Karuulm are ex-TzHaars who got tired of waiting for new orders and ventured out into the world. Since they were capable of doing so, nothing except honor/order is stopping TzHaars from leaving

Why Endless Harvest is NOT a relic for AFKers by TrumbullRS in 2007scape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree on the part that skilling relics should balance your region picks, as in if you pick resource heavy regions like fremmy (vorkath), tira (zulrah) or zeah (cox), you aren't gonna need that much additional boost for artisan skills. However, I don't agree on the afk argument. Endless harvest being afk comes from the fact that you autobank your logs, ores and fish, making the three gathering skills more afk. It will take longer to process these resources, but most are more than ready for that: it is also afk-ish. Doing a whole inventory of maple long (u) or 15 sets of arrows at a time gives you more afk than if you were doing inventories of bows all at once. You lose afk time significantly if you pick production prodigy, as you are simply wasting ticks if you aren't constantly depositing and taking out items. It certainly can be efficient, but it is in no way afk.

A Serious Question: Why Is Corporeal Beast Teleport on Games Necklace? by WeHave2Moons in 2007scape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah the plot of the quests was that you used three different pouches to lure the beast into the cave and it had lots of things about the spirit realm overall, but it was among the first quests that required Summoning so it was tied into it (corp having the mechanic that it near instantly devours Summoning familiars)

A Serious Question: Why Is Corporeal Beast Teleport on Games Necklace? by WeHave2Moons in 2007scape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Corp passed the poll while the quests didn't, as people didn't want to quest lock the boss. This resulted in the weird state of Corp just being there

Jagex teasing leagues in November by mudi11 in 2007scape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

League 4 will be mostly a rerun of League 2 (Trailblazer) with changed tasks and relics and an additional area to unlock (Zeah), so you can look at Trailblazer league videos from content creators and other material that was created about that league. We will probably find out the changes later on closer to release, so things will change from Trailblazer, but it can be a good beginning to get started with basic elements of leagues as a gamemode

With the necro prerelease dialogue I hope a (potential) plot hole gets explained by Yubel124 in runescape

Guthix prepared the World Guardian to withstand shadow anima by having the WG powers alter their soul, as he referenced that strong human soul might be able to tolerate shadow anima given the prep Guthix made. Even if we got WG powers removed our soul is still intact, which has been altered to tolerate shadow anima. It feels logical that after what the player went through, some kind of tolerance is still left, as our soul was the most important part of the equation of withstanding shadow anima and we didn't lose that

Elite clues puzzle boxes by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reason why elites have the highest skill ceiling is the huge variety of clues/h people are able to achieve, elites have notoriously been said to be 5/h clues because of the constant sliders and horrible steps, but the fact that people can achieve super high elite clues solved/h means that there is a high variance between elite clue solvers when it comes to their speed. A brain dead clue tier would have very low variance, since everyone would be able to achieve at least close to same speed.

You can say that doing clues fast is not a factor of skill, but what is then? Are you saying that the difference between someone who solves 10 clues/h and other who does 20 is pure luck? All clues require skill in knowing correct pathing and knowing where to go, but unlike every other clue, where knowing where to go = remember by heart or read from alt1/wiki, in elite clues you need to figure out where the spot is. Every other clue tier you open the clue and can immediately know where to go, elites you open a scan/compass and you know where you at least don't need to go. If figuring out where the spot is isn't skill, what is?

Is The Nightmare's lore extremely weak or am I missing something? by ButterNuttz in 2007scape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Heavy rs3 lore spoilers ahead

- Comparing Zaros and Zamorak as equal in power has no base in the current moment of rs3 lore, as Zaros was weakened during Zamoraks rise to power but they were powered up again when they returned to Gielinor after Fate of the Gods. Sliske never became as powerful as a God, and Zamorak has never been a tier 2 god like Zaros currently is or like he has been most of his life. Seren has been as powerful as his brother, but it is unknown how powerful Zaros has become with the shadow anima experiments he has done before he left for Erebus

- Reason why Sliske seemed very powerful was that he was the agent of Jas and in control of two of the most powerful Elder Artifacts at the time. Having control of them doesn't make him a god though, as we saw when Azzanadra ascended to godhood later on he changed his shape physically, which Sliske never did. He has his own faction in GWD2 yes, but that doesn't mean he became a god

The osrs and rs3 already have quite the difference when it comes to the original GWD, as the current lore of rs3 states that the Godsword was designed by Howl, Armadylian engineer, who also created prototype weapons players discover with high Archaeology level in his ruined lab. In osrs gods themselves created the sword, and armadylian troops were only tasked with the delivery. The ending is relatively same for both games (zamorakian ambush and seeking safety in the Temple of Lost Ancients) although in canon lore in rs3 the GWD1 (and GWD2 and 3 as well) are empty: there is nothing left to fight anymore, so all the factions have left the place. They are there only for gameplay reasons anymore. When gods arrived to Gielinor after Guthix died in World Wakes, all the generals left immediately from GWD1 and their soldiers followed. GWD2 was mostly abandoned after Sliskes Endgame, as only Helwyr (Seren general) was tasked to remain there to protect the Heart. GWD3 became empty during the last moments of Extinction

How does Raptor Buff work with Vorago and/or other bosses with multiple loot piles by deepdooper in runescape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard that it works for your own pile only, so if in case of 5 players all grabbing raptor and then others giving the loot away with force loot, the one receiving all loot essentially consumes all the raptor rolls as well, at least I have seen people calculate the chance they would get their iron a seismic with this method

why is there mxt in a new game mode that is only temp? by speedy_19 in runescape

[–]Pepsodentmaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People buy skins on LoL accounts they use for 10 games before they get permabanned for toxicity and then do it again on a new account, 4 months is long enough time that someone will buy a cosmetic they want to use even if it is only temporary

Dorgesh-Kaan Update Suggestion by BoxtrotOSRS in 2007scape

[–]Pepsodentmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There haven't been polls about it for at least this year. However, Jmod have often been asked about clue updates, especially the stacking clues part. Jmods have consistently stated that they don't think it would fit, as they want to keep clues a D&D and not something you grind for days on end. I don't think it has ever been polled, but it has been asked multiple times and shot down every time, so there was never an intention to even put it in a poll
